Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh financial distress, financial constraint terhadap trade credit provision pada saat kondisi krisis di perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dengan pengecualian industri perbankan dan pembiayaan. Sampel penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan purposive sampling dari perusahaan terbuka pada rentan 2011 sampai 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari S&P Capital IQ. Regresi menggunakan Fixed Effect Model dalam menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara trade receivable dengan financial distress dan financial constraint pada saat krisis. Hal ini juga sejalan dengan penelitian sebelumnya diantarannya Nam & Uchida (2019) dan juga pada model lainya bahwa trade payable mempunyai hubungan negatif terhadap financial distress dan financial constraint pada saat krisis hal ini juga sejalan dengan penelitian Kawor & Atinyo (2021). / Purpose this study to examine the effect of financial Distress and Financial Constraints on trade credit during crisis condition in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The population in this study are all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange except for the banking and financing industry. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling of companies listed from 2011 to 2020. This study uses secondary data obtained from S&P Capital IQ. Regression uses the Fixed Effect Model in analyzing data. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between trade receivables with financial distress and financial constraints both during the crisis. This is also in line with previous research studies including Nam & Uchida (2019) and in other models that trade payable has a negative relationship with financial distress and financial constraints. This is also in line with the research of Kawor & Atinyo (2021).
