Abstract

Gala Seafood Restaurant, Medan experienced a decline in employee performance that can be seen from the absenteeism and tardiness due to job description and compensation. This research aims to investigate whether job description and compensation influence employee performance at Gala Seafood Restaurant, Medan. Job description and compensation have an important role in shaping employee performance. Job description and compensation are highly connected with employee performance and company profitability. In this research, the writer used a quantitative research design and IBM SPSS statistics V.26. The writer used a descriptive and causal approach. The sampling technique used was census sampling. The population and sample size were 31 employees at Gala Seafood Restaurant, Medan. The results of the hypothesis test showed that job description and compensation have a partial and simultaneous influence on employee performance. Furthermore, job description and compensation have a 61,7% influence on employee performance. This research also passed the validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression test, and the equation is Employee Performance = 6.136+ 0.216 job descriptions + 0.621 Compensation+ e. Recommendations for Gala Seafood Restaurant, Medan include applying the duties and responsibilities in accordance with the position and receiving advice from employees on the rules of the company that make it difficult for employees, and improving accommodation to employees who can relate to company operations. / Gala Seafood Restaurant, Medan mengalami penurunan kinerja karyawan yang dapat dilihat dari absensi dan keterlambatan akibat job description dan kompensasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah deskripsi pekerjaan dan kompensasi memiliki pengaruh terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Di Gala Seafood Restaurant, Medan. Deskripsi pekerjaan dan kompensasi memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kinerja karyawan. Deskripsi pekerjaan dan kompensasi sangat terkait dengan kinerja karyawan dan profitabilitas perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dan IBM SPSS statistics V. 26. Penulis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dan kausal. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampel sesnsus. Populasi dan ukuran sampel adalah 31 karyawan di Gala Seafood Restaurant, Medan. Hasil uji hipotesis, Uraian Tugas dan kompensasi berpengaruh secara parsial dan simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, job description dan kompensasi memiliki pengaruh sebesar 61,7% terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini juga lolos uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji multikolinieritas, uji heteroskedastisitas, uji regresi linier berganda dan persamaan kinerja karyawan = 6,136 + 0,216 Uraian tugas + 0,621 Kompensasi + e. Rekomendasi untuk Gala Seafood Restaurant, Medan antara lain dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan tugas dan tanggung jawab sesuai dengan jabatan dan menerima saran dari karyawan dengan aturan perusahaan yang menyulitkan karyawan dan meningkatkan akomodasi kepada karyawan yang dapat berhubungan dengan operasional perusahaan seperti belanja makanan dan perlengkapan dapur.
