Abstract

One of the advantages that people can enjoy from online shopping activities is the availability of a variety of practical, non-conventional payment methods like using digital wallets. However, there are still very few entrepreneurs or UMKM owners (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in Indonesia who have not operated their businesses online. Regarding the online shop business, Levinsky Indonesia (LI) is one of the UMKMs engaged in the clothing industry that requires digitization to simplify its business processes. Previously, LI's business processes were done conventionally (manual sales transactions). To achieve this digitization LI considered developing an information system that utilizes the API (Application Programming Interface) to connect applications with system functions. The two APIs used in this proposed system are the Midtrans API to verify payments and the RajaOngkir API to obtain estimated shipping costs. The development of this proposed system uses the SDLC methodology that includes the stages of planning, analysis, design, and implementation. This development also uses the waterfall method, where system development is planned sequentially. The results of the implementation of this proposed system show a positive impact indicated by the improvement of the verified transaction process, mainly through the use of the Midtrans API. In addition, the developed website-based application makes it easier for LI management to operate their business online and increases the potential for a wide range of new customers.
