Abstract

Hasil belajar merupakan perubahan kemampuan siswa setelah mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan, peneliti menemukan bahwa siswa kelas IX mengalami masalah hasil belajar kognitif. Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dapat dilihat dari nilai siswa setelah mengerjakan tes sebanyak tiga kali. Persentase siswa yang tidak mampu mencapai KKM jauh lebih tinggi dari persentase siswa yang mampu mencapai KKM. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, peneliti menetapkan tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dan mengetahui langkah-langkah penerapan metode Picture and Picture dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) Pelton dengan dua kali penerapan tindakan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28 Agustus 2018 – 23 Oktober 2018 dan melibatkan 7 orang siswa kelas IX di salah satu sekolah Kristen di Lampung. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), umpan balik, jurnal refleksi, lembar ceklis observasi, angket siswa, dan lembar tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Picture and Picture dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas IX dengan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 85,71% pada penerapan pertama dan 100% pada penerapan kedua. Peningkatan ini dipengaruhi oleh penerapan metode Picture and Picture dengan langkah-langkah: 1) Menyampaikan kompetensi yang ingin dicapai, 2) menyampaikan materi pengantar, 3) menunjukkan gambar-gambar berkaiyan dengan materi yang disampaikan, 4) memanggil siswa secara bergantian, 5) menanyakan alasan dasar pemikiran dari urutan gambar yang dibuat siswa, 6) dari alasan urutan tersebut, guru menyampaikan materi sesuai dengan kompetensi yang ingin dicapai, serta 7) siswa diajak untuk menyimpulkan materi yang baru saja diterima./ Learning results is student ability after follow learning activity. Based on observations, researcher found that students class IX had a problem cognitive learning result. The low level learning results were proven by students score on three tests. Students can’t achieve the KKM more than students who can achieve the KKM. From that problem, researcher applied Picture and Picture method with purpose is to improve student cognitive learning result and to find out steps of Picture and Picture method implementation could improve student cognitive learning results. Research method used for this research was classroom action research of Pelton with twice implementations. This research had begun on august 28th , 2018 – October, 23rd 2018 and involved seven students of class IX in one of the schools in Lampung. Instruments research had used is RPP, mentor’s feedback, reflection journal, observation checklist, student’s questionnaire, and test questions. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the implementation of Picture and Picture method was able to improve the cognitive learning results class IXwith percentage completeness learning results 85,71% on first action and 100% on second action. This improvement influenced by implementation Picture and Picture with some steps: 1) deliver the competence of subject, 2) deliver the subject introductory, 3) show the related picture with subject, 4) call students with alternately, 5) ask the basic reason student, 6) from that reasons, teacher deliver learning appropriate with the competence, and 7) student and teacher resume the learning subject.
