Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan di kelas X SMAK YSKI Semarang, peneliti menemukan bahwa siswa kesulitan dalam memahami konsep mata pelajaran ekonomi. Tujuan dari pembelajaran ekonomi adalah menolong siswa untuk mengerti konsep namun pada kenyataannya siswa lebih cenderung sekedar menghafal dibandingkan memahaminya. Siswa tidak menyukai mata pelajaran ekonomi karena mereka menganggap ekonomi adalah mata pelajaran yang sulit untuk dipahami. Berdasarkan masalah, peneliti memutuskan untuk menggunakan Numbered Heads together (NHT) sebagai model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dalam mata pelajaran ekonomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kali tindakan yang dimulai pada 2 September – 23 Oktober 2018. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPS 2 yang terdiri dari 20 siswa. Untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman konsep digunakan lembar tes, wawancara, dan jurnal refleksi sedangkan untuk mengukur pelaksanaan model pembelajaran NHT adalah lembar observasi mentor dan rekan sejawat, angket, wawancara dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kenaikan pemahaman konsep siswa mata pelajaran ekonomi dengan ketercapaian indikator pemahaman konsep diatas 75% setelah dilakukan penerapan model pembelajaran koperatif NHT (mencapai 85%). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT yang dilakukan mengikuti sintaks pelaksanaannya secara maksimal dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas X IPS SMA YSKI Semarang./ Based on an observation conducted in grade X YSKI Semarang High School, the researcher found that the student had any difficulity in comprehending the concept of economic subject. The goal of learning economic subject is to help student understand the concept but in the fact he student were prefer to memorize the material rather than comprehend it. The students haven’t interest in economic subject because tthey know economic is a subject that was difficult to be understand. Based on this problem, the researcher decide to used Numbered Heads together (NHT) as a learning model to see the improvement of student’s conceptual undersatanding in the economic subject. The research method used in this research is classroom research action (CAR). This research done ini two cycles, started since September 2th until October 23th 2018.The subject of ths reaserch was the student in grade X IPS 2 (Sosial program) consisted of 20 students. The instrument being used for measure students’ conceptual understanding in this research were the student test form, observation form, interview sheet, feedback mentor and reflective journal researcher. In while to measure the implementation of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) were observation form, interview sheet, and reflective journal researcher. The result of ther research shows that there was an increasing of concept understanding presentation of the student in the subject of Economic reaches the successful indicator that has set which is 75% after researcher applied the cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) (increased 85%). There for the researcher conclude that Numbered Heads Together (NHT) as the cooperative learning model improved students concept understanding in the economic subject in grade X social program Semarang YSKI high school.
