Abstract

Pemahaman konsep sangat diperlukan dalam pembelajaran ekonomi, karena melalui pemahaman konsep siswa/i mampu menjabarkan secara menyeluruh konsep-konsep penting dalam ekonomi dengan benar. Namun ditemukan sebagian besar siswa kelas 11 salah satu SMA swasta Kota Kupang menunjukkan pemahaman konsep pada pembelajaran ekonomi masih rendah. Hal ini saat terlihat siswa/i mengalami kesulitan dalam menjawab pertanyaan guru, konsep jawaban siswa/i masih terbalik-balik, dan hasil tes menunjukkan 17 siswa/i tidak lolos KKM dari keseluruhan siswa/i yang berjumlah 21. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian tentang penerapan metode Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa/i kelas 11 disalah satu SMA swasta Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Pelton. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 11 SMA swasta Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 25 September – 12 Oktober 2018. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes siswa/i, jurnal refleksi, angket, wawancara mentor, umpan balik mentor, dan RPP Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan penerapan metode Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) dapat meningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa/i kelas 11 disalah satu SMA swasta Kota Kupang sebanyak 17 siswa/i lulus KKM dari 21 siswa/i. Penerapan metode TAI dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah, teaching group, team, team study,dan fact test./ Understanding of concepts is very necessary in economic learning, because through understanding concepts students are able to thoroughly describe important concepts in the economy. However, it was found that most of the 11th grade students of one of Kupang's private high schools showed that the conceptual understanding of economic learning was still low. This is when you see students experiencing difficulties in answering teacher questions, the concept of student answers is still reversed, and the results of the test show that 17 students do not pass the KKM from the total of 21 students. Therefore research is conducted on the application of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) method which aims to improve the understanding of the concept of 11th grade students in one of the private high schools in Kota Kupang. This research is Pelton's Classroom Action Research (CAR) model. The research subjects were 11th grade students of the private high school of Kota Kupang. The research was conducted on September 25 - October 12 2018. The research instruments used were student tests, reflection journals, questionnaires, mentor interviews, mentor feedback, and lesson plans. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) method can improve the understanding of the concept of 11th grade students in one of Kupang City's private high schools as many as 17 students i passed the KKM from 21 students / i. The application of the TAI method is done by steps, teaching group, team, team study, and fact test.
