Abstract

Keaktifan belajar siswa merupakan salah satu unsur penting keberhasilan suatu proses pembelajaran yang melibatkan interaksi multi arah yang mana siswa bukan hanya sebagai penerima informasi namun juga turut terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran karena pada dasarnya baik guru maupun siswa diciptakan sebagai pribadi yang aktif bekerja dan mencari tahu potensi serta talenta mereka sehingga dapat dikembangkan untuk memuliakan nama Tuhan. Tetapi realitanya, tidak semua siswa dapat berperan secara aktif selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Masih ada siswa yang mengantuk, malas mencatat, melihat ke depan dengan tatapan yang kosong, dan tidak memperhatikan instruksi dengan baik. Peneliti memutuskan untuk menerapkan metode STAD untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dan menganalisis bagaimana langkah metode STAD mampu meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Pelton digunakan sebagai metode penelitian. Penelitian dilakukan kepada siswa kelas X-1 yang terdiri dari 21 siswa di sebuah sekolah Kristen di Tangerang. Penelitian diadakan dalam dua kali penerapan pada tanggal 15 Oktober – 18 Oktober 2018. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, umpan balik , RPP dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian indikator keaktifan menggunakan metode STAD pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran pertama adalah 79,22% dan mengalami peningkatan pada pembelajaran kedua menjadi 94,6%. Kesimpulannya, metode STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dengan melakukan setiap langkah dari metode STAD secara terstruktur. /The activeness of students is one of the important elements of the success of learning process which involve multi dirrection interaction where the students are not only receivers of information but they also involve in learning process because basically both teachers and students were created as active individuals to find out about their potentials and talents so it can be improved to glorify God’s name. However, in reality, not all students could participate actively during the lesson. There were some students who were sleepy, lazy to write down, daydreaming, and not paying attention to teachers’ instructions. Therefore, the researcher decided to implement STAD method to increase students’ learning activeness. Classroom Action Research (CAR) with Pelton model was used as the research method. The research was conducted for X-1 students which consisted of 21 students in a Christian school in Tangerang. This research was conducted on two actions on 15 – 18 October 2018. The data was the result of observation sheets, feedbacks, lesson plans, and reflection journals. The result of data analysis shows that the attainment of activeness indicators that used STAD method in the first learning activity is 79,22% with enhancement in the second learning activity to 94,6%. In conclusion, the STAD method can increase students learning activeness by applying every step of STAD method structurally.
