Abstract

Salah satu faktor penentu tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran di dalam ruang kelas adalah adanya sikap aktif dari siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan di Kelas XII IPS salah satu SMA Kristen di Jakarta Barat ditemukan bahwa siswa memiliki tingkat keaktifan belajar yang rendah. Hal ini menjadi dasar dilakukannya penelitian tentang penerapan metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dan bagaimana cara penerapan metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe STAD dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas model Pelton yang dilakukan dalam dua kali penerapan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 23 Agustus 2018 sampai 23 Oktober 2018 di kelas XII IPS salah satu SMA Kristen di Jakarta Barat dengan subjek penelitian 22 siswa. Instrumen yang digunkan yaitu RPP, Umpan Balik, Jurnal Refleksi, Checklist Pelaksanaan Tindakan, Lembar Observasi, dan Angket. Hasil data dari setiap instrumen dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, penerapan metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dengan menerapkan langkah-langkah penerapan: 1) Guru membagi siswa dalam kelompok, 2) Guru menyampaikan materi, 3) Siswa berdiskusi, 4) Siswa mengerjakan soal secara individu, 5) Siswa menerima penghargaan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa./ One of the determinants of achieving learning goals in the classroom is the active attitude of students in following the learning process. Based on observations made in Class XII IPS, one of the Christian High Schools in West Jakarta found that students had a low level of learning activity. This is the basis for conducting research on the application of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type of Cooperative Learning. This study aims to find out whether the application of the STAD type Cooperative Learning method can improve student learning activeness and how to apply the STAD Cooperative Learning method to improve student learning activeness. The method used in this research is the Pelton model class action research method which is carried out twice. The research was conducted on August 23, 2018 until October 23, 2018 in the XII IPS class one of the Christian High Schools in West Jakarta with 22 students as research subjects. The instruments used are RPP, Feedback, Reflection Journal, Action Implementation Checklist, Observation Sheet, and Questionnaire. The results of data from each instrument were analyzed descriptively. Based on the results of the research conducted, the application of the STAD Cooperative Learning method can increase student learning activeness by applying the implementation steps: 1) The teacher divides students into groups, 2) The teacher delivers the material, 3) Students discuss, 4) Students work on the questions individually, 5) Students receive awards. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Cooperative Learning method type STAD can increase student learning activeness.
