Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi masalah yang telah dilakukan pada kelas X SMA Kristen Tunas Kasih Tarakan menunjukkan bahwa, sebanyak 75,86% siswa kelas X memiliki pemahaman konsep yang rendah, yaitu siswa belum mampu mendefinisikan konsep produksi, belum mampu memberikan contoh dari perilaku produsen, dan belum mampu mengklasifikasikan faktor-faktor produksi, dan hanya sebanyak 24,14% siswa yang telah memahami konsep tersebut. Hal tersebut membuat siswa belum mampu mencapai KKM yang telah ditentukan oleh sekolah yaitu 70. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, peneliti kemudian menerapkan metode Numbered Heads Together dalam pembelajaran. Metode Numbered Heads Together ini dirancang untuk memengaruhi pola interaksi siswa dan memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan akademik siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat apakah metode Numbered Heads Together dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pelajaran ekonomi kelas X SMA Kristen Tunas Kasih Tarakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Kristen Tunas Kasih Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara dengan menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Pelton yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan, yaitu 1) identifikasi masalah; 2) pengumpulan data; 3) perencanaan tindakan; 4) pelaksanaan rencana; 5) penilaian hasil. PTK ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan dua kali penerapan tindakan dengan jumlah siswa kelas X sebanyak 29 siswa. Instrumen yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu hasil tes siswa, jurnal refleksi, angket siswa, dan umpan balik mentor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keberhasilan pemahaman konsep siswa sebesar 52% di penerapan pertama menjadi 79% di penerapan kedua. Peningkatan terjadi dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep pada setiap indikator, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Numbered Heads Together sesuai langkah langkah dalam penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Namun, perlu diketahui bahwa dalam penerapan metode NHT akan membutuhkan banyak waktu, sehingga perlu diperhatikan dalam hal pengelolaan waktu agar penerapan metode NHT dapat berjalan dengan baik dan efektif./ Based on the results of identification of the problems that have been done in grade 10th senior high school Christian Tarakan shows that, as much as 75% of students in grade, 10th have a low understanding of the concept, namely students have not been able to define the production concept, has not been able to provide examples and behavior of producers and has not been able to classify factors of production, and only as many as 24.12% of students have understood the concept. This makes students not yet achieving KKM that has been determined by the school which is 70. To overcome this problem, researcher then applies the number together method in learning, this number heads together method is designed to influence student interaction patterns and has a goal to improve. This research was conducted in Tunas Kasih Christian high school Tarakan, north Kalimantan by using the Pelton model class action research method (CAR) consisting of 5 stages. Issues identification, data collection, action planning, implementation of plans, assessment outcomes. This method was done by applying two actions with 29 students in class X. The instruments that used in this study were student test results, reflection journals, student questionnaires, and mentor feedback. Based on the results of the study showed that there was an increase in the success of students' understanding of the students by 52% in the first application to 79% in the second application. Occurring increases are influenced by the students' ability to understand the concepts on each indicator, so it can be concluded that the application of the number heads together method after the steps in this study can improve students' conceptual understanding. However, it should be noted that in the implementation of the NHT method, it will take a lot of time, so it needs to be considered in terms of time management so that the application of the NHT method can run well and effectively.
