Abstract

Sikap sosial merupakan perilaku berupa respon terhadap suatu objek atau kondisi sekitar, seperti bertanggung jawab, bekerja sama, berempati, dan taat peraturan. Namun, siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Kristen di Rantepao belum menunjukkan respon tersebut dengan maksimal. Berdasarkan hasil diskusi dengan mentor dan studi literatur yang dilakukan, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan sikap sosial siswa dan mengetahui langkah-langkah penerapan model tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian tindakan kelas yang digunakan ialah model Pelton yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 29 Agustus 2018 – 23 Oktober 2018. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 31 siswa kelas VII di salah satu sekolah Kristen di Rantepao. Sumber data yang digunakan peneliti yaitu lembar observasi checklist mentor, lembar angket siswa, jurnal refleksi, dan umpan balik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together dapat meningkatkan sikap sosial siswa. Adapun langkah-langkah penerapan yang dilakukan: 1) pembagian kelompok, 2) pemberian nomor, 3) pemberian tugas, 4) diskusi, 5) pemanggilan nomor, 6) presentasi, dan 7) saran./ Social attitude is a behavior in a form of responding towards an object or condition around, such as responsibility, cooperation, empathy, and obedience. However, the students in grade VII at one of Christian Junior High Schools in Rantepao have not shown that response to the utmost. Based on discussions with mentor and literature review that had been conducted, the purpose of this research is to see whether the implementation of the cooperative learning type NHT can improve students’ social attitudes and to know the steps of the implementation. The research method used by the researcher is Classroom Action Research modeled by Pelton which was held on august 29th 2018 - October 23rd 2018. The subject of this research consists of 31 students in grade VII at one of Christian Schools in Rantepao. Data sources that used by the researcher were observation sheet, mentor checklist, students survey sheets, reflection journal, and mentor feedback. Based on the data result of the research, it shows that the implementation of cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together increased the students’ social attitudes. Here are the steps that had been conducted: 1) grouping, 2) giving numbers, 3) giving tasks, 4) discussion, 5) calling number, 6) presentation, and 7) suggesting.
