Abstract

Proses pengajaran ekonomi pada kelas X IIS di dapati bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa masih rendah. Berdasarkan nilai tes siswa pada saat identifikasi masalah pemahaman konsep siswa masih dibawah KKM. Kelas X IIS memiliki siswa berjumlah 30 di mana 11 siswa laki-laki dan 19 perempuan dengan keberagaman kemampuan akademik. Hal ini menjadikan alasan diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) sebagai upaya meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Kristen Swasta di Nias yang dilaksanakan dari 5 September-17 Oktober. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model Pelton yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perancanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan dan penilaian hasil. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua tindakan dengan menggunakan empat indikator tersebut adalah 1) Menyatakan definisi dari sebuah konsep 2) Menyatakan ciri-ciri dari sebuah konsep 3) Memberikan contoh dari sebuah konsep 4) Memecahkan sebuah masalah. Terdapat lima instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu nilai kuis, angket, jurnal refleksi, umpan balik mentor. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan terhadap Pencapaian siswa pada indikator pemahaman konsep. Adapun peningkatan yang terjadi pada tindakan pertama dan kedua adalah sebagai berikut: PK-1 meningkat 30%, PK-2 meningkat 6,67%, PK-3 meningkat 6,66%, PK-4 meningkat 10%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) dapat membantu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa kususnya topik pelaku ekonomi. / In the learning process of economic subject in class X IIS, it was found that students' conceptual understanding was still low. Based on students’ test scores at issue identification phase, students’ conceptual understanding were still under the minimum passing score. Class X IIS consists of 30 students, of which 11 are male and 19 are female with a variety of academic abilities. This was the main reason for implementing Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model as an effort to improve students' conceptual understanding. The research was conducted at a Private Christian High Schools in Nias which was held from September 5 to October 17. This study used a type of classroom action research (PTK) with the Pelton model which consists of 5 stages, namely issue identification, data collection, planning of actions, implementation of actions and outcome assessment. The study was conducted in two actions using the four indicators, which are1) Expressing the definition of a concept 2) Declaring the characteristics of a concept 3) Providing an example of a concept 4) Solving a problem. There are five instruments used in this study, namely quiz scores, questionnaires, reflection journals, mentor feedback. The results of data analysis showed that there was an improvement in student achievement on concept understanding indicators. The increase that occurred in the first and second actions was as follows: PK-1 increased 30%, PK-2 increased 6.67%, PK-3 increased 6.66%, PK-4 increased 10%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model can help improve students' conceptual understanding, especially with the topic of economic activist.
