Abstract

Hasil belajar kognitif merupakan sesuatu yang sangat penting dan dapat dilihat dari hasil tes siswa. Hasil belajar kognitif dapat menginterpretasikan kemampuan daya serap siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi selama pembelajaran, Peneliti menemukan bahwa pada ulangan harian pertama menunjukkan sebanyak 15 siswa (68%) memperoleh nilai < 75 dan pada ulangan harian kedua menunjukkan 20 siswa (90,09%) masih berada < 75 dengan nilai KKM 75. Berdasarkan hasil tes tersebut, Peneliti menemukan bahwa siswa kelas X memiliki permasalahan pada hasil belajar kognitif. Oleh sebab itu, Peneliti ingin meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif dengan mengimplementasikan metode Think Pair Share pada mata pelajaran Sosiologi. Adapun bentuk Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang didesain oleh Robert P. Pelton. Penelitian dilakukan dalam rentang waktu 09 Agustus 2018 sampai dengan 27 September 2018. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tiga kali implementasi tindakan dengan jumlah 22 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (rpp), lembar tes, jurnal refleksi Peneliti, observasi guru mentor, observasi teman sejawat dan observasi siswa. Tujuan Penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui implementasi metode pembelajaran TPS dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa serta untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah implementasi TPS dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Adapun hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada saat dilakukan ulangan harian yaitu 20 siswa (90,90%) berhasil mencapai KKM dari populasi siswa kelas X pada mata pelajaran Sosiologi./ Cognitive learning outcome is a very crucial thing and can be seen from the students’ test result. Cognitive learning outcome can interpret students’ academicals absorption ability during learning process. Based on identification result during learning process, the researcher found that the first test shows that 15 students (68%) got score < 75 and on the second test 22 students (90,90%) are < 75 with passing grade 75. Based on the test result, the researcher found that the students of grade X had problem with cognitive learning outcome. Therefore, the researcher wanted to improve the students’ cognitive learning outcome by implementing Think Pair Share method in Sociology subject. The research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) designed by Robert P. Pelton. The research was conducted from August 09, 2018 until September 27, 2018. The research was conducted through three planning activations toward 22 students. The instruments used were lesson plan, test sheet, reflection journals, mentor teacher observation, peer observation and students observation. The purpose of the research is to know whether the implementation of TPS method improves students’ cognitive learning outcome and to know the steps of TPS implementation to improve students’ cognitive learning outcome. The research result shows that there was an improvement of students cognitive learning result on the test in which 20 students (90,90%) reach the passing score with the population of grade X students in Sociology subject.
