Abstract

Hasil observasi kegiatan pembelajaran IPS menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa di dalam kelas yang tidak mematuhi peraturan dan prosedur di dalam kelas serta tidak menyimak ketika guru sedang menjelaskan materi didepan kelas. Sikap-sikap seperti ini membuat kelas menjadi tidak kondusif. Perlu ada cara untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa di dalam kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kedisiplinan siswa melalui penerapan konsekuensi logis dan mengetahui langkah-langkah penerapan konsekuensi logis dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Pelton. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 18 September 2018 hingga 30 Oktober 2018 sebanyak tujuh tindakan dengan jumlah siswa 33 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi checklist mentor, angket siswa, jurnal refleksi, dan umpan balik mentor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata presentase ketercapaian untuk Indikator pertama yaitu mematuhi peraturan dan prosedur didalam kelas sebesar 67% dan indikator kedua yaitu memberikan perhatian penuh saat guru sedang mengajar sebesar 52%, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan konsekuensi logis dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa kelas VIII di salah satu Sekolah Kristen di Medan. Terdapat enam langkah dalam penerapan konsekuensi logis./ The results of observations of social studies learning activities show that many students in the class do not comply with the rules and procedures in the classroom and do not listen when the teacher is explaining the material in front of the class. This attitudes make the class are not conducive. This class need a solution to improve students' discipline in learning activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student discipline through the application of logical consequences and knowing the steps of applying logical consequences in improving student discipline. The research method used is the Pelton Action Class Research model. The study was conducted on September 18, 2018 to October 30, 2018 as many as seven applications with a total of 33 students. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets, checklist, mentor, student questionnaire, reflection journal, and mentor feedback. Based on the results of the study show that the average percentage of achievement for the first indicator is to obey the rules and procedures in the class at 67% and the second indicator which gives full attention when the teacher is teaching by 52%, it can be concluded that the application of logical consequences can improve the discipline of class students VIII at one of the Christian Schools in Medan. There are six steps in applying logical consequences.
