Abstract

Pada domain kognitif, hasil tes adalah data yang penting untuk melihat potensi siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran Matematika. Siswa kelas VIII.1 seharusnya sudah mampu menghitung operasi aljabar. Kenyataan di lapangan rentang persentase kelulusan pada jumlah siswa hanya 6-68% dari jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM pada beberapa kali pengambilan nilai. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII.1 SMPK Gunungsitoli dalam materi Persamaan Garis Lurus melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD); 2) Menjelaskan langkah-langkah pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII.1 SMPK Gunungsitoli dalam topik Persamaan Garis Lurus Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah PTK model Robert Pelton dengan subjek penelitian 34 siswa kelas VIII.1 di SMPK Gunungsitoli yang dilakukan dalam 5 kali pertemuan (18 September 2018 - 15 Oktober 2018). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan perhitungan statistik sederhana. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah feedback guru mentor, lembar observasi metode, catatan lapangan, dan hasil tes siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan tes pertama sebesar 53%; tes kedua sebesar 29%; dan tes ketiga sebesar 76% siswa mencapai KKM. Adapun keberhasilan pencapaian indikator hasil belajar siswa ketika setiap tahapan pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dilakukan dengan baik./In cognitive domain, test results are significant to see the learners’ potentials in following Mathematics learning process. Grade VIII.1 students are expected to already be capable of calculating algebraic operations, when in fact range percentage only 6% - 68% of enrolled students achieved the passing grade because the rest lacked skills. The purpose of this research is to: 1) Know the increase of learning outcomes of grade VIII.1 students of SMPK Gunungsitoli on the topic Linear Equation through cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD); 2) Explain the steps of cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) in improving student learning outcomes in grade VIII.1 students of SMPK Gunungsitoli on the topic Linear Equation. The research method used is Robert Pelton’s CAR with 34 research subject grade VIII students in SMPK Gunungsitoli, that was conducted in 5 meetings (18 September 2018 to 15 October 2018). The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and simple statistical calculations. The data sources obtained for this study were cooperating teacher feedback, method observation sheets, field notes, and student test results. The result of this research showed the first test of 53%; second test 29%; and third test as high as 76% of enrolled students achieved the passing grade. The enhancement of the students’ learning outcomes was accomplished when each step of cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) was well-conducted.
