Abstract

Suasana kelas yang kondusif akan membuat siswa belajar secara optimal. Tetapi realita pada saat pembelajaran, berdasarkan observasi di kelas XII di salah satu SMA Tangerang, peneliti menghadapi suasana kelas yang tidak kondusif akibat perilaku siswa yang tidak disiplin. Peneliti memutuskan untuk menerapkan peraturan, prosedur kelas dan konsekuensi untuk meningkatkan disiplin siswa. Peneliti bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa dan bagaiman metode ini dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Pelton digunakan sebagai metode dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas XII AB 5/6/7 pada tanggal 14 September sampai 16 Oktober 2018. Subyek penelitian ini sebanyak 17 siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua kali penerapan pada tanggal 12 Oktober dan 15 Oktober 2018. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi daftar centang mentor, angket siswa, refleksi dan umpan balik mentor yang dianalisis secara statistik sederhana. Hasil analisis data diperoleh disiplin siswa meningkat dari 71% pada tindakan menjadi 89% pada pengulangan tindakan berdasarkan observasi checklist mentor dan angket siswa. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu penerapan peraturan, prosedur kelas dan konsekuensi dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa dengan langkah –langkah, yaitu 1) Menjelaskan peraturan dan konsekuensi, 2) Melatih siswa menggunakan prosedur kelas, 3) Menguatkan prosedur kelas, 4) Konsisten menerapkan peraturan, prosedur kelas dan konsekuensi./ A conductive classroom atmosphere will make students learn optimally. But the reality during learning, based on observations in class XII in one of the Tangerang High Schools, researchers found a class atmosphere that is not conductive due to undisciplined student behavior. The researcher decided to apply rules, classroom procedures and concequences to improve student discipline. The researcher aims to find out what and how this method can improve student discipline. Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Pelton model was used as the method in this research. The research was conducted on September 14 to October 16, 2018. The subjects of research were 17 students from class XII AB 5/6/7. The instruments used were observation checklist mentor, student questionnaires, reflections and mentor feedback which were analyzed in simple statistics. The result of data analysis obtained by student discipline increase from 71% on action to 89% on repetition of action based on mentor’s observations and student’s quesstionares. The conclusions are the implementations of rules, classroom procedures and consequences can improve student discipline with steps, which are 1) Explain rules and consequences, 2) Train students using classroom procedures, 3) Reinforced classroom procedures 4) Consistently apply rules, class procedures and consequences.
