Abstract

Plastik adalah material yang sangat banyak manfaatnya dan mudah ditemukan, namun jika tidak diuraikan dengan baik dapat menimbulkan berbagai masalah lingkungan. Berdasarkan data BPS pada tahun 2018, jumlah sampah plastik di Indonesia mencapai 65,2 juta ton.Hal ini terjadi karena kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah plastik. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, maka penulis mengembangkan produk dari limbah LDPE yang diolah dengan teknik fusing interlock. Pengembangan produk dilakukan dengan mengeksplorasi material dan teknik yang cocok dengan material limbah LDPE dan produk yang didesain. Keputusan desain diambil menggunakan metode tabel QFD yang membandingkan beberapa hasil eksplorasi dan memilih hasil eksplorasi yang terbaik. Hasil desain kemudian diuji kepada 4 user untuk mengetahui kinerja produk dan hasil material. Dari hasil eksplorasi, metode yang paling cocok adalah fusing dengan bertahap, kemudian plastik dipotong dengan pisau pond. Hasil dari material dengan teknik ini kuat dan bisa diaplikasikan menjadi beberapa model dan produk. / Plastic is a useful material and easy to find in the market. But despite of the benefits, plastic waste can cause various environmental problems if not decomposed properly. Based on BPS data in 2018, the amount of plastic waste in Indonesia alone reached 65.2 million tons. This happens due to the lack of public knowledge of plastic waste management in Indonesia. To overcome this, author developed a product from LDPE waste which was processed by using fusing interlock technique. Product development is carried out by exploring materials and techniques that are suitable for LDPE waste materials and designed products. Design decisions are taken using the QFD table method which compares several exploration results and chooses the best and suitable results. The final chosen design result and exploration are then tested on 4 users to determine product performance and material results. From the development results, the most suitable method is fusing the plastic gradually, and then cutting the plastic with pond knife. The result of the material with this technique are strong and can be applied to many shape modules and varied products.
