Abstract
Penggunaan teknik vokal yang tepat tentunya merupakan salah satu hal yang harus dikuasai oleh seorang penyanyi. Salah satunya adalah register vokal yang terdiri dari chest voice, head voice, dan juga mixed voice. Penelitian ini akan berfokus pada analisis penggunaan register vokal mixed voice terhadap mahasiswa vokal kontemporer di Universitas X dalam lagu “All I Ask”. Empat partisipan yang akan terlibat merupakan mahasiswi Universitas X yang telah menyelesaikan kelas major vokal tiga. Proses penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Setiap partisipan akan mengumpulkan video mereka menyanyikan lagu “All I Ask” dan akan dianalisis berdasarkan teori-teori yang ada.
