Abstract

Coworking space, sebagai tempat kerja, saat ini populer dikarenakan fleksibilitas lingkungan kerjanya, terutama untuk kalangan yang lebih muda. Namun, coworking space memiliki beberapa kekurangan, yakni lingkungan kerja yang terlalu bebas, dan area kerja yang terlalu terbuka dan kurang area privat. Generasi Z adalah generasi baru dalam lingkungan kerja. Mereka merupakan generasi digital, cenderung lebih dewasa, dan terkendali; dan mungkin tidak akan mendukung lingkungan coworking yang kurang terstruktur tersebut. Generasi Z dikenal dengan generasi yang kreatif dan inovatif, dan mereka tertarik untuk melakukan hal yang kreatif. Kreativitas dan inovasi tersebut merupakan daya tarik umum dari industri kreatif, yang menyebabkan banyak generasi Z akan tertarik ke dalam industri ini. Untuk meningkatkan kreativitas generasi Z di industri kreatif ini, dapat menggunakan arsitektur lingkungan kerja yang didasarkan pada konsep playful, dimana melalui konsep ini dapat merangsang saraf, mengoptimalkan kesehatan otak, dan mendukung kreativitas pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang tempat kerja di industri kreatif bidang creative arts untuk pekerja generasi Z berdasarkan konsep playful. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah terutama bagaimana menerapkan konsep playful dan program-program yang menjadi daya tarik bagi pekerja generasi Z di tempat kerja yang dapat meningkatkan kreativitas mereka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengkaji teori yang relevan, analisis studi preseden, dan data kuesioner tentang preferensi tempat kerja generasi Z. Dari penelitian ini, dihasilkan perancangan tempat kerja creative arts baru untuk generasi Z yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas kerja dan mewadahi kreativitas pekerjanya. Penerapan konsep playful pada rancangan tempat kerja creative arts yang digunakan adalah fleksibilitas/adaptabilitas, variasi, dan interaksi, dengan menggunakan strategi kontekstual, spasial, dan formal. Tempat kerja creative arts ini memiliki program ruang kerja formal, ruang kerja kreatif, dan ruang terbuka, yang dapat digunakan sebagai tempat kerja, bersosialisasi, dan pameran industri kreatif. / Coworking space is becoming a popular workplace due to the flexibility of the work environment, especially for younger people. However, coworking space has several disadvantages as a workplace, namely a work environment that is too free, and a work area that is too open and lacks a private area. Generation Z is a new generation in the work environment. They are a digital generation, tend to be more mature, and in control; and may not support such a less structured coworking environment. Generation Z is known as a creative and innovative generation, and they are interested in doing creative things. These qualities are a common attraction of the creative industry, and it is likely that many Generation Z will be attracted to this industry. To increase the creativity of Generation Z in this creative industry, we can use a work environment architecture based on playful concept, which has been proven that it can stimulate nerves and optimaltize brain health, which in turn will increase the worker’s creativity This study aims to design a workplace in the creative arts sector for generation Z workers based on the playful concept. The problem in this research is mainly how to apply the playful concept and programs that are an attraction for generation Z workers in the workplace that can increase their creativity. The method used in this study is to examine relevant theories, analyze precedent studies, and questionnaire data about the workplace preferences of Generation Z. This research resulted in the design of a new creative arts workplace for generation Z which can improve the quality of work and accommodate the creativity of its workers. The application of the playful concept to the creative arts workplace design used is flexibility/adapibility, variety, and interactivity, using contextual, spatial, and formal strategies. This creative arts workplace has a program of formal workspaces, creative workspaces, and open spaces, which can be used as places of work, socializing, and creative industry exhibitions.
