Abstract

Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kontribusi penata artistik dalam pembuatan film fiksi pendek “SIALAN!” Film ini didasarkan pada teori absurdisme dan nihilisme, dan menggambarkan kehidupan seorang pria bernama Bejo yang merasa kesepian dan menganggap hidupnya selalu dirundung kesialan. Desain artistik film didasarkan pada hasil riset dari referensi bidang film dan literatur. Film ini bertujuan untuk menyampaikan pesan bahwa konsep sial dan keberuntungan sebenarnya adalah bentuk respon atau pandangan pribadi terhadap setiap kejadian yang dialami dalam hidup, sedangkan alam semesta secara prinsip selalu berada dalam keadaan seimbang./ This paper aims to examine the contribution of the art director in the production of the short fiction film "What a Lovely, Lovely Day!" The film is based on the theories of absurdism and nihilism and portrays the life of a man named Bejo who feels lonely and believes that he is always plagued by bad luck. The artistic design of the film is based on research from film and literature references. The film's message is to convey that the concept of bad luck and good luck is actually a personal response or perspective to any event experienced in life, while the universe is always in balance.
