Abstract

Setiap daerah dengan kekhasan kulinernya merupakan wujud dari keberagaman kultural Indonesia. Contohnya seperti kue tradisional yang hingga saat ini masih dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Kue tradisional sering juga disebut sebagai jajanan pasar. Seiring dengan gerak zaman, perkembangan industri kuliner jajanan pasar semakin kompetitif. Hal ini membuka peluang bagi pebisnis baru di bidang kuliner yang sama untuk memulai usaha dengan desain yang lebih bersaing dan mengikuti tren pasar. Bagi pengusaha lama, hal tersebut menjadi suatu tantangan baru sehingga dalam upaya untuk mempertahankan bisnisnya memerlukan beberapa penyesuaian atau inovasi. Salah satu toko jajanan pasar yang telah berdiri sejak tahun 1963 yaitu Pukis Banyumas. Dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan daya saingnya di antara kompetitor, berbagai penyesuaian telah dilakukan namun belum dapat mencapai hasil yang maksimal. Salah satu penyesuaian yang belum dilakukan adalah perancangan ulang dari brand eksisting secara visual. Tampilan visual brand eksisting masih terlihat statis dan kuno sehingga kurang dapat mengimbangi perkembangan tren pasar. Makalah ini akan membahas mengenai perancangan ulang desain logo Pukis Banyumas dan aplikasinya pada kemasan untuk meningkatkan brand awareness dalam pandangan konsumen sehingga Pukis Banyumas dapat terus dikenali diantara kompetitor baru yang bermunculan. Metodologi yang diadaptasi dalam proses perancangannya yaitu kerangka Double Diamond dari Design Council./The cultural diversity of Indonesia may be seen in each region's culinary delicacies. For example, the group still consumes traditional foods. Traditional foods are part of the market snacks. The market development for culinary snacks is becoming more and more competitive as time goes on. This creates chances for new companies in the same culinary industry to launch their operations with a more competitive design and follow to current market trends. This presents a fresh challenge for old business owners, necessitating certain modifications or innovations in order to retain their operation. Pukis Banyumas is one of the market snack stores that has been since 1963. Various adjustments have been made in an effort to increase its competitiveness among rivals, but have not been able to get the best outcomes. This happens because the visual design of the brand still looks static or old-fashioned so it can't balance the development of market trends, Pukis Banyumas will need to boost brand awareness in the eyes of customers. This paper will examine the redesign of the Pukis Banyumas logo design and its application on packaging. The Double Diamond framework from the Design Council is the methodology used in the design process.
