Abstract
Pemahaman konsep sangat dibutuhkan dalam suatu pembelajaran, karena dengan memahami siswa akan lebih mengerti materi yang diajarkan. Akan tetapi jika diperhatikan budaya belajar siswa di kelas saat ini adalah budaya menghafal. Hal ini juga yang dialami peneliti selama melakukan praktikum, dalam setiap proses pembelajaran di kelas siswa lebih cenderung menghafalkan materi tanpa mencoba memahami materi yang dipelajari. Hal ini didukung media pembelajaran yang digunakan sangat terbatas. Berdasarkan masalah ini peneliti merencanakan untuk menggunakan media audio visual dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini dilakukan untuk melihat apakah penggunaan media audio visual dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).Penelitian dilakukan sejak 13 Oktober hingga 27 Oktober 2015.Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dengan melibatkan 26 siswa.instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes, lembar angket, lembar check�list mentor, dan refleksi pribadi Penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan hasil bahwa ada peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa.Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media audio visual dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. / Understanding the concept is needed in a lesson, because by understanding the students will better understand the material being taught. But if we look students in the classroom learning culture today is the culture of memorizing. It also experienced researcher during practicum, in any learning process in the classroom students are more likely to memorize the material without trying to understand the material being studied . This is supported instructional media used is very limited. Based on this problem researchers are planning to use audio�visual media in the learning process. This is done to see if the use of audio-visual media can enhance students' understanding of the concept. The method used is the Classroom Action Research ( PTK ). The study was conducted from October 13 to October 2, 2015. This study was conducted in two cycles, involving 26 students. instrument used in this study is a test sheet , sheet questionnaires, check-list sheet mentor, and personal reflection. Research conducted shows the results that there is an increased understanding of the concept of students. The authors concluded that the use of audio- visual media can enhance students' understanding of the concept.
