Abstract

This thesis examines the correlation between TikTok usage (ASMU), cyberloafing (C), procrastination (P), and their impact on academic performance (GPA). Through a mixed methods approach, data was collected from university students to understand the underlying dynamics. Questionnaires was distributed to active college students and graduates who live in Indonesia using purposive sampling technique with 105 respondents collected. The findings indicate a positive relationship between TikTok usage (ASMU) and cyberloafing (C) and procrastination (P), suggesting that excessive engagement with TikTok may lead to increased time spent on non-academic activities. Higher levels of Procrastination (P) were associated with lower academic performance (GPA). While emotional intelligence (EI) does not have a moderating effect on their relationships.
