Abstract

Podcast merupakan sebuah platform media baru berbasis audio on demand yang marak digunakan oleh masyrakat Indonesia saat ini. Terbukti dengan Indonesia adalah negara ke-2 dengan jumlah pendengar podcast terbanyak di dunia. Podcast Ancur adalah salah satu dari berbagai kanal Podcast di Indonesi dengan genre komedi. Pada penelitian ini menganalisis tentang Strategi Komunikasi Podcast Ancur dalam membangun audience engagement. Teori yang digunakan adalah Komunikasi Persuasif. Podcast Ancur menjabarkan bahwa adanya media baru podcast membantu dalam membangun kedekatan antara kreator dengan pendengar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus dengan menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme. Peneliti mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam, lalu dilakukan transkrip dan di dukung dengan hasil foto, dan audio pada saat penelitian dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Podcast Ancur menggunakan beberapa strategi komunikasi untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan audiens. Strategi-strategi tersebut antara lain melibatkan pendengar untuk berbagi cerita dalam podcast melalui partisipasi langsung atau telepon, memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai alat promosi untuk mencapai audiens yang lebih luas, dan mengadakan acara off-air Live Podcast yang memungkinkan pendengar untuk mengunjungi dan menonton pertunjukan secara langsung. Salah satu indikator keberhasilan keterlibatan audiens dalam Podcast Ancur adalah terbentuknya komunitas virtual bernama "Ancurlicious" dengan anggota sebanyak 2.500 orang dalam grup telegram. Komunitas ini tidak hanya menjadi komunitas virtual melainkan menjalankan kegiatan secara offline. / Podcast is a new media platform based on audio on demand that is widely used by the Indonesian people today. It is proven that Indonesia is the 2nd country with the highest number of podcast listeners in the world. Ancur Podcast is one of the various Podcast channels in Indonesia with the comedy genre. This research analyzes the Ancur Podcast Communication Strategy in building audience engagement. The theory used is Persuasive Communication. Podcast Ancur explains that the existence of new media podcasts helps in building closeness between creators and listeners. This research uses a qualitative case study method using the constructivism paradigm. Researchers collected data through in-depth interviews, then transcribed and supported by photos, and audio at the time of the research. The results showed that Ancur Podcast uses several communication strategies to increase audience engagement. These strategies include engaging listeners to share stories in the podcast through live or telephone participation, utilizing social media as a promotional tool to reach a wider audience, and holding off-air Live Podcast events that allow listeners to visit and watch the show live. One indicator of the success of audience engagement in Ancur Podcast is the formation of a virtual community called "Ancurlicious" with 2,500 members in a telegram group. This community not only consists of loyal listeners of Ancur Podcast, but also actively participates in various activities carried out by Ancur Podcast.
