Abstract

Penelitian didasarkan dengan adanya sebuah program sekolah yang bernama Student Assembly yang tidak terdapat di sekolah lain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat bagaimana program Student Assembly sebagai pendidikan karakter dijalankan dan perannya dalam pengembangan pengenalan diri siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, angket terbuka dan tertutup, serta study document. Hasil yang didapatkan oleh peneliti adalah program Student Assembly dilaksanakan seminggu sekali dalam satu jam pertemuan yang berisikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. Pembelajaran Student Assembly ini memiliki dampak pada pengenalan diri siswa yang meningkat seiring dengan berjalannya Student Assembly. Siswa diajarkan tentang religiusitas sehingga semakin mengenal Allah dengan melihat penciptaan dari dalam diri mereka maupun di luar diri siswa. Siswa juga melakukan sharing dan saling terbuka satu sama lain sehingga siswa dapat belajar mengenai kejujuran dan toleransi yang dapat menunjang perasaan diterima dan berarti, interaksi, menerima kritik orang lain, dan perasaan dipercaya. Program Student Assembly mengajarkan kedisiplinan dengan melakukan refleksi sehingga siswa dapat belajar mengontrol diri. Program Student Assembly juga mengajarkan kerja keras dengan adanya tindakan lanjut dari penanggung jawab Student Assembly dan wali kelas sehingga siswa terdorong untuk bekerja keras dalam mencapai targetnya, dapat mengetahui kelebihan dan kekurangannya sehingga siswa dapat berjuang secara maksimal dan bersaing secara positif./ The research was based on the existence of a program called Student assembly that does not exist in another school. The purpose of this research is to see how does the student Assembly program as character educator run and role in student introduction development. The research method used to use qualitative research case study. Data collection technique are interview, observation, opened-closed questionnaire and study document. The result obtained by the researcher is Student Assembly program held once a week in a one-hour meeting that contains the value of character education. Student Assembly learning has an impact in upgraded student self-introduction through the program itself. Students are taught about religiosity that is getting to know God by looking the creation inside and outside of themselves. Students are also sharing and mutually open to each other so that they can learn about integrity and tolerance that can support the feeling of acceptance, sense, interaction, accept critics from another, and a sense of trust. Student Assembly program taught the discipline with doing reflection so the student can learn to control their self. Student Program Assembly also tough about work hard with follow-up action from the person in charge and homeroom so student encouraged to working hard to reach their target, know their strength and weaknesses so they can fullest and compete positively.
