Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh dari kompetensi dan komunikasi terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja karyawan pada departemen produksi v-belt di PT XYZ Tangerang. Permasalahan pada penelitian ini yaitu tidak tercapainya target produksi, yang disebabkan karena menurunnya kinerja karyawan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner digital. Metode penarikan sampel yang digunakan adalah non-probability sampling, dengan tipe judgmental sampling. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 103 responden, dengan kriteria sampel yaitu karyawan departemen produksi v-belt PT XYZ Tangerang yang memiliki masa kerja minimal satu tahun dan berstatus sebagai karyawan tetap di. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) melalui software SmartPLS. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah 1) kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan, 2) kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, 3) kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap komunikasi, 4) komunikasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan, 5) komunikasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan 6) kepuasan kerja karyawan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Implikasi manajerialnya yaitu PT XYZ diharapkan dapat mempertimbangkan segala kebijakan yang telah ada dan memberikan pembaharuan yang lebih baik dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. / This study aims to test and analyse the effect of competence and communication on employee performance mediated by employee job satisfaction in the v-belt production department at PT XYZ Tangerang. The problem in this study is the non-achievement of production targets, which is caused by decreased employee performance. The type of research used is quantitative research, with data collection methods through digital questionnaires. The sampling method used is non-probability sampling, with judgmental sampling type. The number of samples in this study were 103 respondents, with sample criteria being employees of the v-belt production department of PT XYZ Tangerang who have a minimum work period of one year and have status as permanent employees at. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS software. The conclusions of the study are 1) competence has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, 2) competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 3) competence has a positive and significant effect on communication, 4) communication has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, 5) communication has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and 6) employee job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The managerial implication is that PT XYZ is expected to consider all existing policies and provide better updates in order to improve employee performance.
