Abstract

Setiap siswa memiliki gaya belajar yang berbeda-beda sesuai dengan kepribadiannya masing-masing. Hal ini mempengaruhi hasil belajar kognitif yang dicapainya. Gaya belajar siswa kelas VIII A dan siswa kelas VIII B di Sekolah Kristen Lentera Ambarawa juga berbeda. Siswa kelas VIII A memilliki gaya belajar cenderung kooperatif sedangkan siswa kelas VIII B memiliki gaya belajar individual. Oleh karena itu, hendak dilakukan penelitian tentang perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran IPA menggunakan teknik Make a Match dengan teknik Mind Mapping. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif dengan mengunakan teknik Make a Match dengan teknik Mind Mapping. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif pre-experimental dengan desain penelitian Alternative Treatment Posttest-Only with Non-equivalent Groups Design. Hasil penelitian ini menggunakan uji t diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,959 > 0, 05 yang berarti Ho diterima. Artinya, tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar kognitif antara siswa yang diberikan teknik pembelajaran basis kooperatif dan basis individual dengan meninjau nilai rata-rata post-test. Kelas Make a Match memiliki nilai rata-rata kelas (63, 73) lebih rendah dibandingkan nilai rata-rata kelas Mind Mapping (63,97). Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif teknik Make a Match memiliki dampak “sangat kuat” terhadap siswa pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung, sedangkan penerapan pembelajaran individual teknik Mind Mapping memiliki dampak “kuat” terhadap siswa pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung. / Each student has a different learning styles according to their personality. It will affect their achievement on cognitive learning outcomes. The students in grade VIIIA and grade VIIIB at SKL Ambarawa also have different learning styles. Grade VIIIA student learning styles tend to be cooperative, whereas grade VIIIB have individual learning styles. Therefore, this research is to see the differences on cognitive learning outcomes of eighth grade students in science subjects using Make a Match techniques and Mind Mapping technique, and see the impact of the implementation of these two techniques. The method used is pre-experimental quantitative research and Alternative Treatment Posttest-Only with Non-equivalent Groups Design. The results of this reseach are obtained using the t-test values obtained Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.959 > 0.05, which means that Ho accepted. So it can be concluded that there are no significant differences in the cognitive achievement between students who are given a base of cooperative learning techniques and individual basis and by reviewing the value of the average post-test. The Make a Match class has an average value of class (63.73) that was lower than the average value of Mind Mapping class (63.97). Implementation of Make a Match cooperative learning techniques has a "very strong" impact on students during the learning process, while the implementation of individualized learning Mind Mapping techniques have a "strong" impact on students during the learning process.
