Abstract

A homeroom teacher has a role as a leader in the classroom. Leadership presented by the homeroom teacher is one of the goals to be able to discipline students properly. The role of a shepherd leader in disciplining students is expected to be carried out in the classroom. This study aimed to determine the extent to which the role of homeroom teachers at SD Lentera Harapan Tomohon as shepherd leaders in carrying out the discipline process. The research subjects were 12 homeroom teachers at SD Lentera Harapan Tomohon. This research was designed as a qualitative study with a case study strategy. The results of this study describe the homeroom teacher's role as a shepherd leader is a guide in the process of disciplining students at SD Lentera Harapan Tomohon. The role is carried out by homeroom teachers with five dimensions. Personal challenges and challenges from the environment are challenges faced by homeroom teachers when acting as shepherd leaders. The homeroom teacher of SD Lentera Harapan Tomohon see their role as a shepherd leader in the disciplinary process as a form of service responsibility of a Christian teacher who imitate Christ. / Seorang wali kelas memiliki peran sebagai pemimpin dalam kelas. Kepemimpinan yang dihadirkan wali kelas salah satu tujuannya untuk dapat mendisiplinkan siswa dengan baik. Peran pemimpin gembala dalam mendisiplinkan siswa diharapkan dapat dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peran wali kelas di SD Lentera Harapan Tomohon sebagai pemimpin gembala dalam melakukan proses disiplin. Adapun subjek penelitian adalah 12 wali kelas di SD Lentera Harapan Tomohon. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Hasil penelitan ini mengambarkan Peran wali kelas sebagai pemimpin gembala adalah pedoman dalam proses pendisiplinan siswa di SD Lentera Harapan Tomohon. Peran tersebut di jalankan oleh wali kelas dengan lima dimensi. Tantangan secara pribadi dan tantangan dari lingkungan merupakan tantangan yang dihadapi wali kelas saat berperan menjadi pemimpin gembala. Wali kelas SD Lentera Harapan Tomohon memandang perannya sebagai pemimpin gembala dalam proses pendisiplinan merupakan bentuk tanggung jawab pelayanan seorang guru Kristen yang meneladani Kristus.
