Abstract

C Tangerang baik mereka yang sudah mengikuti bimbingan dan konseling karir ataupun belum. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pentingnya peran konselor dalam proses bimbingan dan konseling karir, penerapan konseling Kristen dalam bimbingan dan konseling karir, serta kendala dari program bimbingan dan konseling karir yang telah dijalankan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif jenis studi kasus dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 12. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai adalah observasi pada proses bimbingan dan konseling karir yang dilakukan konselor kepada siswa kelas 12, wawancara kepada tiga konselor, serta penyebaran kuesioner kepada 83 siswa-siswi kelas 12. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran guru bimbingan konseling (BK) mencakup: penerapan teknik konseling secara terintegrasi, penggunaan teknik bertanya dalam menggali diri siswa, membantu siswa merencanakan karir dengan menghubungkan faktor dari dalam dan luar diri siswa, dan membantu siswa mengambil keputusan dengan meyakinkan kembali dan juga mendiskusikan dengan orang tua. Guru BK enggan dan bingung menerapkan konseling Kristen pada bimbingan dan konseling karir. Kendala dari bimbingan dan konseling karir di sekolah ABC Tangerang dinilai terlambat karena baru dilakukan pada kelas 12 serta waktu bimbingan yang singkat, dan kurangnya jumlah tim guru BK di sekolah ABC Tangerang./ Choosing a career is a problem faced by high school students at ABC School Tangerang. It is faced by those who have gone through guidance and counseling career and those who have not. This researcher aims to know the importance of Christian counseling in guidance and counseling career, the implementation of Christian counseling in guidance and counseling career, as well as the obstacles of the guidance and counseling career program. This research used a qualitative case study approach with the grade 12 students in ABC School Tangerang as subjects. The technique of data collection are observations in the guidance and counseling career process done by the counselor to grade 12 students, in-depth-interview with three counselors, and distributed questionnaires for 83 grade twelve students The result showed that the role of counseling teachers in ABC School Tangerang covers: integrated counseling technique, the implementation of questioning technique to dig into student’s self, aiding students in planning careers by connecting internal and external factors in a student, and helping students in making decisions by reassuring and discussing with parents. Counseling teachers are reluctant and confused in implementing Christian counseling in guidance and counseling career. Obstacle of guidance and counseling career are considered too late because it is done in grade 12 and the counseling time is too short, also the lack of counseling teachers in ABC School Tangerang.
