Abstract

Anak usia dini membutuhkan banyak stimulasi di rumah maupun di sekolah sehingga mereka dapat berkembang dengan baik. Selain di rumah, pendidikan anak usia dini ditempatkan sebagai alat bantu untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak agar memiliki kesiapan dalam memasuki pendidikan yang lebih lanjut. Namun, dibutuhkan waktu yang berbeda-beda bagi setiap anak untuk berkembang dalam perkembangan mereka. Murid-murid kelas Nursery 1A sekolah XYZ Jakarta mengalami kendala dalam hal tata krama dan keterampilan motorik halus mereka. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk membantu murid kelas Nursery 1A dalam kendala tersebut dengan menggunakan kegiatan practical life Montessori. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan PTK dan mengisi lembar observasi selama 2 siklus. Data diolah dengan menggunakan tabel untuk mencari presentasi peningkatan selama 2 siklus penelitian dengan bantuan rubrik untuk setiap variabel. Dari hasil penelitian ini, kegiatan practical life Montessori tidak menghasilkan nilai N-gain pada tingkat ‘tinggi’, namun kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan tata krama murid dari 34% hingga 77%, dan keterampilan motorik halus murid dari 41% hingga 80%. / Early childhood needs a lot of stimulation at home and at school so they can develop properly. Apart from at home, early childhood education is placed as a tool for the growth and development of children so that they are ready to enter further education. However, it takes different time for each child to progress in their development. Nursery class 1A students at school XYZ Jakarta experience problems in terms of manners and their fine motoric skills. This research is intended to help students in Nursery 1A class in these constraints by using Montessori practical life activities. Data collection was carried out by PTK and filling out observation sheets for 2 cycles. The data is processed using tables to look for improvement presentations for 2 research cycles with the help of rubrics for each variable. From the results of this study, Montessori practical life activities did not produce N-gain scores at a 'high' level, but these activities were able to improve student manners from 34% to 77%, and fine motor skills of students from 41% to 80%.
