Abstract

Critical thinking skills, communication and problem solving skills are important 21st century skills and need to be developed for junior high school students. Critical thinking skills, communication and solving abilities in Class VIII A are still relatively low. As for the formulation of the problem is how to develop critical thinking skills, communication and problem solving with Problem-Based Learning using padlets in Pancasila and Civics lessons. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which has three cycles by carrying out the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The number of students studied was 27 people. To obtain data, the research instrument used was an assessment rubric, namely to measure critical thinking skills, communication and problem solving abilities. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to think critically, communicate and solve problems. The percentage value in Cycle 3, namely, critical thinking obtained a percentage of students 100%, problem solving obtained a percentage of students 100% and communication obtained a percentage of students 100% of the success criteria set, namely 70% of students or more get a minimum score of 83. The results have indicated that there was an increase in each variable observed. As a result, it can be concluded that the implemented Problem-Based Learning model can improve the students’ critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills in learning the Pancasila and Civics lessons in Grade VIII A SMP Dian Harapan Jakarta. / Keterampilan berpikir kritis, komunikasi dan kemampuan pemecahan adalah keterampilan abad 21 yang penting dan perlu dikembangkan bagi siswa SMP. Keterampilan berpikir kritis, komunikasi dan kemampuan pemecahan di Kelas VIII A masih tergolong rendah. Adapun yang menjadi rumusan masalahnya adalah bagaimana perkembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis, komunikasi dan pemecahan masalah dengan Problem-Based Learning menggunakan padlet pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang memiliki tiga siklus dengan melakukan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Jumlah siswa yang diteliti adalah 27 orang. Untuk memperoleh data, maka instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan rubrik penilaian yaitu untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis, komunikasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis, komunikasi dan pemecahan masalah. Nilai persentase di Siklus 3 yaitu, berpikir kritis diperoleh persentase siswa 100 %, pemecahan masalah diperoleh persentase siswa 100% dan komunikasi diperoleh persentase siswa 100% dari kriteria keberhasilan yang ditetapkan, yaitu 70% siswa atau lebih mendapatkan nilai minimal 83. Dari hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning menggunakan Padlet dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah dan komunikasi pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan di Kelas VIII A SMP Dian Harapan Jakarta.
