Abstract

The growth of globalization in a never-ending developing world gave birth into both positive and negative out coming. Mining industry has taken a position where growth of technology and political policies has caused fluctuations in world economy, as well as the demand and supply of coal. Due to this, companies competing in this industry (both domestic and international) find themselves continuously innovating to build a sustainable competitive advantage knowing that coal is categorized as a non-renewable energy. An implementation of business process would have sought changes in management in approaching external challenges. In this paper, an analysis of the Company's current position is conducted through a SWOT approach. It also discusses how the existence of business process can affect the way strategies are formulated, as well as the realization of a need to possess an innovative culture in a world that is inevitable to development.
