Abstract

Penyakit kardiovaskular sampai saat ini ternyata masih menjadi ancaman dunia dan merupakan penyakit utama yang menyebabkan kematiaan nomor satu didunia dimana berdasarkan data dari World Health. Organization (WHO) menyebutkan bahwa lebih dari 17 juta orang didunia meninggal akibat dari penyakit jantung dan pembuluh darah. Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki aneka ragam tumbuhan yang dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi obat. Salah satunya adalah tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus). Tapak dara mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, fenolik, tanin, dan terpenoid. Di Indonesia tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan nama tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus) yang telah dimanfaatkan dalam mengobati berbagai macam arwal penyakit, seperti malaria, sembelit, kanker, diuretika, diabetes melitus, kolesterol, dan hipotensi. Pada penelitian ini, akan digunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol darah dilakukan menggunakan alat Easy Touch dengan variasi dosis ekstrak etil asetat daun tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus) yaitu 100 mg/kgBB, 200 mg/kgBB dan 300 mg/kgBB. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis lebih lanjut melalui uji oneway ANOVA dengan rentang kepercayaan 95%. Hasil skrining ekstrak etil asetat daun tapak dara mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, dan steroid. Ekstrak etil asetat daun tapak dara memiliki efek penurunan kolesterol pada mencit, dimana pada kontrol positif (25%) lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelompok dosis 100mg/kgBB Mencit; 200mg/kgBB . Mencit, dan 300mg/kgBB Mencit (22%; 23%; 23%). Namun, pada uji statistik menunjukkan kelompok kontrol positif dengan kelompok dosis tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna = Until now, cardiovascular disease is still a global threat is a major disease that causes number one death in the world where based on data from the World Health. Organization (WHO) states that more than 17 million people in the world die as a result of heart and blood vessel disease. Indonesia is a country that has a variety of plants that can be used as medicine. One of them is the periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus). Tapak Dara contains alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, tannins and terpenoids. In Indonesia this plant is known as tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus) which has been used in treating various kinds of early diseases, such as malaria, constipation, cancer, diuretics, diabetes mellitus, cholesterol, and hypotension. In this study, a completely randomized design (CRD) will be used. Examination of blood cholesterol levels was carried out using the Easy Touch device with varying doses of ethyl acetate extract of persimmon leaves (Catharanthus roseus), namely 100 mg/kgBW, 200 mg/kgBW and 300 mg/kgBW. The research data were analyzed further through a one-way ANOVA test with a 95% confidence interval. Screening results of tapak dara leaf ethyl acetate extract contain Alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and steroids. The ethyl acetate extract of tapak dara leaves has a cholesterol-lowering effect in mice, where the positive control (25%) is greater than the 100mg/kgBW group of mice; 200mg/kgBW Mice, and 300mg/kgBW Mice (22%; 23%; 23%). However, the statistical test showed that there was no significant difference between the positive control group and the dose group.
