Abstract

Kata Kunci: kebiasaan asian squat , nyeri lutut, pasien OA berat RSUS Background: Knee pain is pain or discomfort felt behind the kneecap or in the front of the knee around the kneecap. This is often done by repeated squat exercises that stress the joints and induce stress in the joints like squats. muscle imbalance and overactivity. A squat is a movement that bends the knee with a range of motion of 1400 and requires great muscle strength of the quadriceps and hamstrings, increasing the load on the patellofemoral joint and causing degeneration of articular cartilage. Result: The association with squat habits in Asians does not influence the increase in knee pain in osteoarthritis. Asian squat patients had an OA knee pain score of 66.67, with a lowest score of 52.78 and a highest score of 77.78, while non-Asian squat patients had an average OA knee pain score of 61.1. The lowest value is 30.56 and the highest value is 80.56, not significant (P > 0.05) based on Mann U-Whitney test results Conclusion: There is no association between knee pain and asian squatting habits in patients. There are 5 average comparisons that do not protect knees, but rather exacerbate knee pain, in those who are accustomed to doing Asian squats. Methodology: This study used a cross-sectional study design with patients with severe osteoarthritis as the sample population. This sample was selected using Simple Random sampling. Data were obtained from the completion of the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score Questionnaire and modified demographic data. The results of the study were processed using the chi-square method Keyword: Severe OA patients, asian squatting habit, Siloam Lippo Village Hospital, knee pain
