Abstract

Hasil belajar merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam mengukur keberhasilan suatu pembelajaran. Melalui hasil belajar, kita dapat melihat seberapa efektif pembelajaran tersebut dilakukan. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada masalah yang terjadi di salah satu sekolah di Papua. Peneliti menemukan masalah hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang rendah dan adanya kecenderungan siswa melakukan pembelajaran secara individu. Masalah ini terjadi dikarenakan oleh ketidakmampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep dan kurangnya siswa dalam mengerjakan latihan soal. Maka dilakukanlah penelitian dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Solusi yang dilakukan oleh peneliti adalah dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran Course Review Horay. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilakukan pada 27 oktober 2015- 29 oktober 2016 dengan tiga siklus. Tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan lembar observasi ceklist, lembar angket siswa, lembar wawancara, lembar tes siswa, dan jurnal refleksi. Dari hasil penelitian dapat ditemukan bahwa penerapan metode Course Review Horay dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VIA pada mata pelajaran Matematika. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan persentase nilai per siklus. Persentase jumlah siswa yang mampu mencapai KKM (56) dari 26% menjadi 70%./ Learning outcomes is the one of the most important component in learning process to measure the successfulness of a learning process. Through learning outcomes, we can see how effective the learning is conducted. The research based on the problem that happened in one of the school in Papua. The researcher discovered the problem of cognitive learning outcomes of students were low and their tendency to conduct lesson individual. The problems appear because of student’s inability to understand the context of the lesson and students lack of doing exercises. Because of this very reason, the aim of doing the research is to improve student’s learning outcomes. The researcher provides the solution for this problem through implementing “Course Review Horay” as the learning method. The method that used in this research is the Classroom Action Research. The research has done in 27th -29th of October 2016 with three cycle. To collect the data researcher, use some techniques that is checklist observation sheet, student questionnaire sheet, interview sheet, student’s test sheet, and journal reflections. From the research result, can be found that the application of the “Course Review Horay” method can improve VIA student’s outcomes in math course. It is proven by the increasing of the percentage value for each cycle. The percentage of students who were able to reach KKM (56) of 26% to 70%.
