Abstract

Guru Kristen bukan sekadar profesi melainkan panggilan iman. Namun, kejatuhan manusia ke dalam dosa membuat guru tidak mengenali panggilan-Nya. Panggilan iman yang mendasari setiap pekerjaan, termasuk dalam memilih pendekatan pembelajaran. Manifestasi dari pemilihan pendekatan pembelajaran adalah siswa yang terampil dalam menggunakan setiap bakat minat dan potensi, salah satunya adalah terampil menggunakan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Pemecahan masalah matematika adalah proses kognitif siswa dalam merekonstruksi ide dan menghubungkannya dengan konteks masalah dan solusi. Salah satu faktor yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah adalah penerapan pendekatan Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA). Pendekatan CPA merupakan pendekatan yang dilakukan secara bertahap yaitu, concrete, pictorial, abstract yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, dapat diamati bahwa terjadi kesenjangan antara harapan dan fakta yang terjadi. Siswa kurang mampu menggunakan keterampilan pemecahan masalah selama belajar matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data refleksi observasi, refleksi mengajar, umpan balik mentor, lembar ceklist penerapan, dan hasil penilaian siswa. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah terjadi peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada setiap pertemuan yaitu 67, 80.8, dan 85.4. Dapat disimpulkan penerapan pendekatan CPA mampu meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya melakukan penilaian sebelum penerapan pendekatan CPA supaya dapat melihat perubahan yang lebih signifikan/ Being a Christian teacher is not just a profession, but also a calling of faith. However, the fall of humanity into sin makes teachers unaware of their calling. The foundation of every job, including choosing a learning approach, is based on the call of faith. The manifestation of the learning approach is students who are skilled in using every talent, interest, and potential, including problem-solving skills. Mathematical problem-solving is a cognitive process of students in reconstructing ideas and connecting them to the context of problems and solutions. One of the factors that can improve problem-solving skills is the application of the ConcretePictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach. The CPA approach is a gradual approach that can improve students' problem-solving skills. Based on observations, there is a gap between expectations and reality. Students are less able to use problem-solving skills during mathematics learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data sources of observation reflection, teaching reflection, mentor feedback, application checklist sheet, and student assessment results. The results show an increase in problem-solving skills in each meeting, which are 67, 80.8, and 85.4. It can be concluded that the application of the CPA approach can improve problem-solving skills. Suggestions for further researchers are to conduct assessments before applying the CPA approach to see more significant changes.
