Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis penting untuk dimiliki siswa di dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk dikembangkan agar siswa dapat menghadapi tantangan dalam belajar dan penyelesaian masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan adanya pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis, maka siswa akan menggunakan worldview Kristen yang benar untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan. Namun, dari data penelitian di salah satu sekolah Kristen swasta di Jakarta Barat, ditemukan siswa belum dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini terjadi karena penggunaan metode ceramah dalam pembelajaran yang dominan, sehingga tidak mendorong siswa berpikir kritis, rasa ingin tahu siswa yang rendah, dan siswa belum dapat menyampaikan pendapat secara mandiri. Untuk itu penulis mengimplementasikan metode inkuiri terbimbing berbentuk worksheet sebagai solusi. Penulisan proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hasil penerapan metode inkuiri terbimbing berbentuk worksheet dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI Geografi. Metode inkuiri terbimbing terbukti mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, terlihat dari keaktifan dan jawaban siswa yang lebih mendetail, kritis dan lengkap di dalam worksheet setiap pertemuan. Penulis menyarankan agar peneliti selanjutnya mengembangkan metode inkuiri terbimbing dengan bahan ajar lain yang lebih efektif untuk pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dalam penulisan paper ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif./ Critical thinking skills are important for students to have in learning. Therefore, it is important to develop them so that students can face challenges in learning and problem solving in everyday life. With the development of critical thinking skills, students will use the correct Christian worldview to solve problems. However, from research data in one of the private Christian schools in West Jakarta, it was found that students have not been able to develop critical thinking skills in learning. This happens because of the dominant use of the lecture method in learning, so it does not encourage students to think critically, low student curiosity, and students have not been able to express opinions independently. For this reason, the author implements the guided inquiry method in the form of worksheets as a solution. The writing of this final project aims to explain the results of the application of the guided inquiry method in the form of worksheets in developing the critical thinking skills of students in class XI Geography. The guided inquiry method is proven to be able to develop students' critical thinking skills, as seen from students' activeness and answers that are more detailed, critical and complete in the worksheet every meeting. The author suggests that future researchers develop the guided inquiry method with other teaching materials that are more effective for developing students' critical thinking skills. In writing this paper, the author uses the guided inquiry method.
