Abstract

ABSTRAK Tanggung jawab merupakan karakter penting yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam pembelajaran. Dengan memiliki karakter tanggung jawab siswa akan menyelesaikan tugas dan kewajiban yang diberikan. Namun, berdasarkan PPL 2 di sekolah Kristen di Lampung ditemukan siswa tidak memiliki karakter tanggung jawab yaitu tidak melakukan persiapan sebelum pembelajaran, tidak mengerjakan tugas dengan tepat waktu, serta tidak mendengarkan dan menjalankan instruksi dengan baik. Guru Kristen perlu menolong siswa untuk memiliki tanggung jawab melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri. Model pembelajaran inkuiri memiliki 5 tahapan melibatkan, mengeksplorasi, menjelaskan, mengelaborasi, dan mengevalasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan memaparkan penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri dalam mengembangkan karakter tanggung jawab siswa kelas VII-B. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanggung jawab siswa meningkat setelah penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri. Saran yang diberikan yaitu guru perlu konsisten dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri agar dapat mengamati peningkatan karakter tanggung jawab siswa, mencari lebih banyak kajian literatur tentang keterkaitan model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan karakter tanggung jawab siswa, dan guru Kristen memahami perannya dalam mengembangkan tanggung jawab siswa. Kata kunci: Tanggung jawab, model pembelajaran inkuiri, guru Kristen/Responsibility is an important character that students must have in learning. By having the character of responsibility, students will complete the tasks and obligations given. However, based on PPL 2 in a Christian school in Lampung, it was found that students did not have the character of responsibility, namely not making preparations before learning, not doing assignments on time, not listening and carrying out instructions properly, and not being active in learning. Christian teachers need to help students to have responsibility through the inquiry learning model. The inquiry learning model has 5 stages, namely engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, and evaluation. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with the aim of describing the application of the inquiry learning model in developing the character of responsibility of VII-B students in Indonesian language learning. The results showed that students responsibility increased after the application of the inquiry learning model. The suggestions given are that teachers need to be consistent in applying the inquiry learning model in order to observe the improvement of students responsibility character, looking for more literature studies on the relationship between inquiry learning models and students responsibility character, and Christian teachers and Christian teachers understand their role in developing student responsibility.
