Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa semakin memudar membuat siswa kurang bisa memahami, menghubungkan, hingga menggunakan hubungan berbagai konsep dan prosedur untuk menyelesaikan masalah matematika, dan menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan ini akan menjadi lebih menguasai matematika dan dapat menggunakannya untuk menyelesaikan berbagai masalah yang berkaitan dengan matematika. Oleh karena itu, penulis menggunakan metode drill yang melakukan kegiatan atau latihan secara intens dan kontinu untuk membentuk kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Paper ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembentukan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa melalui penerapan metode drill dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pembentukan kemampuan koneksi matematis ini berhubungan dengan konstruktivisme yang merujuk pada bagaimana seseorang membangun pengetahuan berdasarkan pengalamannya. Sebagai seorang guru Kristen memiliki peran untuk memfasilitasi siswa agar bisa mengonstruksi pengetahuannya sesuai dengan kebenaran Firman Tuhan dan menggunakan kemampuan yang ia miliki untuk memuliakan Tuhan. Hasil dan simpulan penulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa berhasil membentuk kemampuan koneksi matematisnya. Hal ini diperoleh melalui analisis penerapan langkah-langkah metode drill yang berhasil membentuk kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang terlihat selama proses pembelajaran di kelas. Adapun saran dari penulis, yaitu perlu memperhatikan manajemen waktu agar efektif dan efisien. Selain itu, mempersiapkan kegiatan selingan untuk mengurangi kebosanan dan kejenuhan siswa selama mengikuti proses pembelajaran. / Students' fading mathematical connection skills make students less able to understand, connect, and use the relationships of various concepts and procedures to solve mathematical problems, and apply them in everyday life. Students who have this ability will become more proficient in mathematics and can use it to solve various problems related to mathematics. Therefore, the author uses the drill method which conducts intense and continuous activities or exercises to form students' mathematical connection skills. This paper aims to analyze the formation of students' mathematical connection ability through the application of drill method by using descriptive qualitative method. The formation of mathematical connection skills is related to constructivism which refers to how a person builds knowledge based on their experiences. As a Christian teacher, it has a role to facilitate students to construct their knowledge according to the truth of God's Word and use their abilities to glorify God. The results and conclusions of this paper show that students succeeded in forming their mathematical connection skills. This is obtained through the analysis of the application of the steps of the drill method that successfully shape students' mathematical connection skills seen during the learning process in the classroom. The author's suggestion is to pay attention to time management to be effective and efficient. In addition, preparing interlude activities to reduce boredom and boredom of students during the learning process.
