Abstract

Motivasi belajar merupakan hal yang penting dalam pembelajaran dan kunci berhasilnya suatu pembelajaran. Akan tetapi, berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan terhadap salah satu sekolah Kristen di Tangerang, ditemukan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa masih sangat rendah yang terlihat dari siswa tidak memperhatikan guru, mengantuk, dan tidak mau mencari tahu informasi mengenai pembelajaran. Dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penulis menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw untuk mendorong motivasi belajar siswa SMA pada pembelajaran Sejarah. Penelitian ini mengambil data berdasarkan pada praktikum lapangan (PPL 2) yang dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat mendorong motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran sejarah, dengan penerapan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: 1) Siswa dihimpun dalam satu kelompok yang terdiri dari 4-6 orang, 2) setiap kelompok diberikan satu bagian dari materi untuk dipelajari, 3) belajar di dalam kelompok ahli: setiap anggota kelompok belajar tentang bagian materi yang telah diberikan kepada mereka, 4) siswa dipisahkan dan ditempatkan ke dalam kelompok campuran baru, 5) setiap anggota mempresentasikan bagian yang telah dipelajari, dan 6) evaluasi. Saran kepada peneliti selanjutnya adalah perlu mengembangkan penelitian ini serta mengkaji lebih dalam tentang model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa sehingga menghasilkan temuan yang lebih otentik./ Learning motivation is important in the classroom and the key to successful learning. However, based on observations at a Christian school in Tangerang, it was found that students' learning motivation was still very low as shown by students not paying attention to the teacher, being sleepy, and not wanting to find out information about the lesson. In overcoming these problems, the researcher applied the jigsaw type cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model to encourage high school students' learning motivation in learning History. This research took data based on field practicum which was conducted with qualitative descriptive method. The result of this research is the application of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model that can encourage students' learning motivation in learning history, with the application of the following steps: 1) Students are gathered in a group of 4-6 people, 2) each group is given a part of the material to study, 3) learning in an expert group: each group member learns about the part of the material that has been given to them, 4) students are separated and placed into a new mixed group, 5) each member presents the part that has been learned, and 6) evaluation. Suggestions to future researchers are to develop this research and examine more deeply the jigsaw type cooperative learning model and the factors that influence student learning motivation so as to produce more authentic findings.
