Abstract

The divorce rate within households in Indonesia, attributed to conflicts and financial issues, is an ongoing phenomenon. Therefore, cognitive abilities implied by educational levels are necessary to possess effective conflict resolution styles. A quantitative study employing hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to explore the role of education and its attributes in marital satisfaction. The analysis of 1,166 individuals (84.9% female) revealed that the level of education significantly predicts marital satisfaction. This suggests that higher levels of education contribute to increased marital satisfaction among individuals within a culture that may not yet fully prioritize education.
