Abstract

Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan kekuatan ilustrasi sebagai medium Desain Komunikasi Visual dalam memvisualisasikan berbagai sudut pandang dinamika rasa para manusia dalam lirik album "Manusia". Nilai dinamika perasaan dalam album ini diposisikan sebagai konten yang hendak divisualisasikan dengan bertujuan mampu mengkomunikasikan berbagai perspektif mengenainya. Perspektif tersebut diwakili oleh 10 Lagu dari Tulus yang akan dieksplorasi secara lebih dalam. Kemampuan lirik-lirik lagu dalam mengkomunikasikan pesan penulis lirik, kemampuan musik-musik lagu dalam mengkomunikasikan perasaan dalam lagu, dan kemampuan ilustrasi dalam memperjelas makna dalam suatu teks, maka perancangan ini diputuskan untuk menghasilkan sebuah karya ilustrasi yang baik. Metodologi atau tahapan perancangan ini menggunakan metode yang digunakan oleh Robin Landa dalam bukunya yang berjudul "Graphic Design Solutions 4th ed”. Dalam menggunakan metode tersebut, penulis dapat melakukan perancangan secara tersusun untuk mencapai tujuan dari topik yang diangkat. Penulis berharap perancangan tersebut mampu memperkaya pemahaman tentang ilustrasi dan teks lirik lagu tersebut dalam bentuk buku ilustrasi lirik.This paper aims to show the power of illustration as a medium of Visual Communication Design in visualizing various points of view on the dynamics of human taste in the album "Manusia". The dynamic feeling in this album is positioned as a content that needs to be visualized with the aim to communicate various perspectives regarding it. Such perspectives are represented by the 10 songs from Tulus which will be explored in more depth. The capacity of song lyrics in communicating the musician's message, the capacity of musical songs to communicate feelings and the ability to explain in a text, this design decided to produce a good illustration work. This methodology or design stage uses the method used by Robin Landa in his book entitled "Graphic Design Solutions 4th ed". Through this methodology, the author can do a structured design to achieve the objectives of the topic raised. The author hopes that the design will be able to enrich the understanding of the illustration and text message of the song's lyrics in the form of a lyric illustration book.
