Abstract

Kekurangan vitamin D merupakan kondisi yang tidak asing untuk separuh populasi di seluruh dunia. Kondisi tersebut dapat disebabkan oleh banyak faktor dengan tanpa kesadaran dilakukan oleh masyarakat, diantaranya gaya hidup dan kondisi lingkungan. Vitamin D dapat diperoleh dari berbagai sumber, seperti mengkonsumsi makanan mengandung banyak vitamin D3, suplemen vitamin D, dsb. Status vitamin D yang tidak mencukupi menyebabkan sistem tubuh berfungsi secara tidak optimal mengakibatkan perkembangan macam penyakit. Keadaan tersebut dapat dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu defisiensi UVB dan defisiensi medis/fisik. Usia merupakan salah satu faktor besar dalam segi kesehatan. Dari data penduduk Indonesia diprediksi akan menambah jumlah warga lansia terbesar seluruh dunia antara tahun 1990–2025 sebesar 414% berdasarkan data dari USA- Beurau of the Census. Salah satu masalah kesehatan yang diperhatikan pada masa lanjut usia adalah osteoporosis. Menurut WHO, osteoporosis menempati urutan kedua setelah penyakit jantung pada tahun 2020. Penyebab osteoporosis antara lain rendahnya aktivitas fisik, kurang terpapar sinar matahari, dll. Menurut Perhimpunan Osteoporosis Indonesia, 41,8% laki-laki dan 90% perempuan, serta 28,8% laki-laki dan 32,3% perempuan sudah menunjukkan gejala osteoporosis dan sudah menderita osteoporosis secara berurutan. Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai osteoporosis dan kekurangan vitamin D di Indonesia. Dengan demikian, hasil penilitian ini merupakan data yang bermutu bagi peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai vitamin D dan osteoporosis di kalangan lanjut usia. Untuk memperoleh tingkat pengetahuan Vitamin D dengan osteoporosis pada lanjut usia dari Februari 2023 sampai dengan April 2023. Penelitian ini mengaplikasikan metode studi cross- sectional pada 35 sampel dari data Rumah Sakit Siloam Hospitals Lippo Village periode Juni 2023 sampai dengan Oktober 2023. / Vitamin D deficiency is a familiar condition for half the world's population. This condition can be caused by many factors without the awareness of the community, including lifestyle and environmental conditions. Vitamin D can be obtained from various sources, such as consuming foods containing lots of vitamin D3, vitamin D supplements, etc. Insufficient vitamin D status causes the body's systems to function suboptimally resulting in the development of various diseases. These conditions can be divided into two: UVB deficiencies and medical/physical deficiencies. Age is a big factor in terms of health. From population data, Indonesia is predicted to increase the number of the world's largest elderly citizens between 1990-2025 by 414% based on data from the USA- Beurau of the Census. One of the health problems that is considered in old age is osteoporosis. According to WHO, osteoporosis ranks second after heart disease in 2020. The causes of osteoporosis include low physical activity, lack of exposure to sunlight, etc. According to the Indonesian Osteoporosis Association, 41.8% of men and 90% of women, and 28.8% of men and 32.3% of women have shown symptoms of osteoporosis and are already suffering from osteoporosis respectively. Lack of public knowledge about osteoporosis and vitamin D deficiency in Indonesia. Thus, the results of this study are quality data for increasing knowledge about vitamin D and osteoporosis among the elderly. To obtain the level of knowledge of Vitamin D with Osteoporosis in the Elderly from June 2023 to October 2023. This study applied a cross-sectional study method to 70 samples from Siloam Hospitals Lippo Village data for the period February 2023 to April 2023.
