Abstract

Latar Belakang : Pada kelompok usia remaja yang memiliki masa aktif dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya dari segi fisik, mental dan kemampuan sosial memerlukan zat gizi yang baik. Asupan gizi yang diberikan, akan berdampak terhadap performa belajar. Di Indonesia remaja awal usia 12-16 tahun masih banyak yang memiliki status gizi rendah. Terdapat perbedaan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan mengenai hubungan status gizi dengan nilai hasil belajar pada anak SD usia 7-11 tahun. Dengan demikian masih perlu dilakukan penelitian hubungan antara status gizi terhadap nilai hasil belajar pada remaja awal 12-16 tahun di SMP BKKK Tangerang yang merupakan sekolah swasta. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status gizi dan nilai hasil belajar pada remaja awal di SMP BKKK Tangerang. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan studi potong lintang dengan metode analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan. Status gizi diukur dengan IMT menggunakan alat ukur stature meter dan timbangan, sedangkan nilai hasil belajar dinilai dengan rata-rata nilai rapor ganjil berdasarkan standar penilaian baik dan buruk di SMP BKKK Tangerang. Data yang terkumpul dari status gizi yang dinilai dengan IMT dan nilai hasil belajar akan dianalisia menggunakan uji statistik Chi-square dengan derajat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil dan Pembahasan : Dari 58 responden terdapat 77,6% gizi normal, 12,1% gizi kurang, 3,4% gizi lebih dan 6,9% mengalami gizi obesitas. Nilai hasil belajar didapatkan nilai baik 5,3%, sedang 81% dan 13,7% buruk. Dengan menggunakan analisa chi-square tidak adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara status gizi dan nilai hasil belajar p-value 0,220 dan OR 0,265. Hal tersebut diduga karena rentang usia yang cukup besar sehingga terdapat perbedaan dalam pola makan dan status gizinya. Kesimpulan : Penelitian ini tidak sesuai dengan hipotesa karena tidak terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dengan nilai hasil belajar siswa di SMPP BKKK Tangerang/ Background: The adolescent age group, which has an active period of growth and development in terms of physical, mental and social abilities, requires good nutrition. The nutritional intake provided will have an impact on learning performance. In Indonesia, many young teenagers aged 12-16 years still have low nutritional status. There are differences in the results of research that has been conducted regarding the relationship between nutritional status and learning outcomes in elementary school children aged 7-11 years. Thus, it is still necessary to research the relationship between nutritional status and learning outcomes in early adolescents 12-16 years old at BKKK Tangerang Middle School, which is a private school. Research Objective: To determine the relationship between nutritional status and learning outcomes in early adolescents at BKKK Tangerang Middle School. Method: This study used a cross-sectional study with an unpaired categorical comparative analytical method. Nutritional status is measured by BMI using a stature meter and scales, while learning outcomes are assessed by averaging odd report card scores based on good and bad assessment standards at BKKK Tangerang Middle School. Data collected on nutritional status as assessed by BMI and learning outcomes will be analyzed using the Chi-square statistical test with a confidence level of 95%. Results and Discussion: Of the 58 respondents, 77.6% had normal nutrition, 12.1% were undernourished, 3.4% were overnourished and 6.9% were obese. The learning outcome scores were 5.3% good, 81% moderate and 13.7% poor. Using chi-square analysis, there was no significant relationship between nutritional status and learning outcomes, p-value 0.220 and OR 0.265. This is thought to be because the age range is quite large so there are differences in diet and nutritional status. Conclusion: This research is not in accordance with the hypothesis because there is no relationship between nutritional status and student learning outcomes at SMPP BKKK Tangerang
