Abstract

Film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap merupakan film karya Rene Bene Dion Rajagukguk yang mengangkat tema tentang keluarga. Dalam film ini menyuguhkan konflik komunikasi yang cukup pelik di dalam sebuah keluarga dari Suku Batak. Film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap mengangkat realitas yang terjadi dalam keluarga di tengah masyarakat yang selalu terjadi konflik baik itu antara orangtua dengan anak, suami dengan istri, atau sesama saudara kandung. Dalam penelitian kualitatif ini, peneliti mengangkat permasalahan penelitian yaitu “Bagaimana representasi pola komunikasi keluarga pada film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap?”. Peneliti ingin menggali lebih dalam bentuk pola komunikasi yang terbentuk dalam kehidupan sehari-hari keluarga Pak Domu. Berlandasan dengan teori semiotika Roland Barthes, peneliti menelaah adegan yang merepresentasikan pola komunikasi keluarga dengan proses pemaknaan lebih dari satu yaitu Denotasi, Konotasi, dan Mitos. Peneliti fokus terhadap 17 adegan yang menjadi unit analisis penelitian berdasarkan perjalanan alur cerita yang terdiri dari tahap Eksposisi, Rising Action, Klimaks, Falling Action¸ hingga tahap Denouement dalam Film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 4 pola komunikasi keluarga berdasarkan dari buku Devito dan tampak adanya latar belakang suku batak pada film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap. Film ini memberikan kesan tentang cara membangun komunikasi di dalam keluarga secara efektif, terbuka dan jujur. Kata Kunci: Film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap, Pola Komunikasi keluarga, Semiotika/The film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap is a film by Rene Bene Dion Rajagukguk which focuses on the theme of family. This film presents quite complicated communication conflicts within a family from the Batak tribe. The film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap highlights the reality that occurs in families in a society where conflict always occurs, be it between parents and children, husband and wife, or siblings. In this qualitative research, the researcher raised the research problem, namely "How is the representation of family communication patterns in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap?". Researchers want to dig deeper into the forms of communication patterns that form in the daily life of Pak Domu's family. Based on Roland Barthes' semiotic theory, researchers studied scenes that represent family communication patterns with more than one meaning process, namely Denotation, Connotation and Myth. The researcher focused on 17 scenes which became the unit of research analysis based on the storyline consisting of the Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action stages up to the Denouement stage in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap. The results of this research show 4 family communication patterns based on the book Devito and the background of the Batak tribe in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap.
