Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara transactional leadership style, employee competence, job satisfaction, dan employee performance. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan jenis kuantitatif, yang dilaksanakan menggunakan kuesioner berisikan pilihan dalam bentuk skala likert bernilai 1-5. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada PT XYZ dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang berarti ada kriteria khusus yang harus dipenuhi oleh para responden supaya respon dapat diterima. Dalam penelitian ini, jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 130, 30 untuk studi pendahuluan dan 100 untuk studi aktual. Pengolahan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS 4 dengan menggunakan PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Model). Hasil yang berhasil diperoleh pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa transactional leadership style memiliki efek positif dan signifikan terhadap job satisfaction, employee competence berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap job satisfaction, transactional leadership style berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee performance, employee competence berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee performance. Job satisfaction memiliki efek negatif dan signifikan terhadap employee performance. Diharapkan setelah melihat hasil penelitian ini pembaca dapat mengimplementasikan apa yang bermakna positif demi kelangsungan perusahaan. / This research aims to determine the influence of transactional leadership style, employee competence, job satisfaction, and employee performance. The research design used in this study is quantitative, conducted using a questionnaire with Likert scale options ranging from 1 to 5. This research was conducted at PT XYZ using purposive sampling technique, which means there are specific criteria that must be met by respondents for their responses to be accepted. In this study, a total of 130 samples were used, with 30 for preliminary study and 100 for actual study. Data processing in this research was carried out using SmartPLS 4 application with PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Model). The results obtained from this study indicate that transactional leadership style has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, employee competence has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, transactional leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and employee competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction has a negative and significant effect on employee performance. It is hoped that after reviewing the results of this study, readers can implement what is positively meaningful for the company's sustainability.
