Abstract

Sebagai sekolah dengan basis pendidikan yang berlandaskan pada Firman Tuhan, para murid mendapatkan praktik pendidikan yang hadir melalui pembelajaran dalam kelas dengan berbagai subjek di bawah penerapan kurikulum sekolah. Sebagai bagian dari komunitas dalam sekolah, seorang murid dapat fokus pada materi tertentu yang penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan bertanggung jawab karena adanya keteraturan yang dibentuk sebagaimana kita mencerminkan karakter Allah sebagai ciptaan-Nya. Maka, melalui pendekatan scaffolding yang diterapkan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran, khususnya konsep materi matematika di kelas, murid tidak hanya menerima materi, melainkan aplikasi lebih lanjut dalam kehidupan mereka sehari-hari melalui konsep bilangan desimal dan konversinya pada jenis bilangan lain bukan hanyalah target untuk mencatat sejumlah angka dari nilai saja, melainkan progres yang terus difasilitasi guru melalui pendekatan scaffolding sehingga mereka dapat berkembang menjadi pribadi yang semakin lebih baik dengan instruksi guru secara bertahap. Dengan demikian, kehadiran seorang guru bagi murid dalam pembelajaran bukan hanya menjadi pembicara/penyampai materi yang terbatas, melainkan seorang pemimpin kelas yang memberikan perancah (scaffolding) bagi setiap perkembangan, maupun kesulitan yang dialami oleh murid dalam praktik kegiatan belajar dan mengajar sehari-hari. Setiap nilai yang diperoleh murid setelah mengerjakan asesmen bukanlah standar ukuran untuk melabeli kemampuan murid, tetapi mencerminkan kemampuan murid untuk menerima pembelajaran tersebut. Kata Kunci: Desimal, pembelajaran matematika, strategi scaffolding, guru / As a school with an educational base based on God's Word, students receive practical education through classroom learning on various subjects under the implementation of the school curriculum. As part of a community within a school, a student can focus on certain material that is important in daily life responsibly because of the orderliness that formed as we reflected His characteristics as His creation. So, through the scaffolding approach applied by the teacher in learning, especially the concept of mathematical material in class, students not only receive the material, but also further application it in their daily lives through the concept of decimal numbers and their conversion to other types of numbers, not just a target for taking notes of the gotten numbers from grades only, but rather progress that continues to be facilitated by the teacher through a scaffolding approach so that they can develop into increasingly better individuals with the teacher's instructions gradually. Thus, the presence of a teacher for students in learning is not only a speaker/deliverer of limited material, but a class leader who provides scaffolding for every development, and the difficulties experienced by students in the practice of daily learning and teaching activities. Each score a student obtains after completing an assessment is not a standard measure for labeling a student's ability but reflects on the student's ability to receive the concept of learning.
