Abstract

Innovation and creativity are important factors to be implemented in school activities to increase school effectiveness. Some teachers often forget to demonstrate innovative behavior regard to their main job, learning and instruction. The purpose of this study is to provide further insight by measuring the effect of structural empowerment, leader empowerment, and psychological empowerment on innovative behavior. The subjects in this study were teachers from SMK November 10, located in South Jakarta. The method used in this study is structural equation modeling (SEM) with a quantitative approach. The results of the study show that structural empowerment, leader empowerment, and psychological empowerment have a positive effect on innovative behavior. Structural empowerment has a positive effect on psychological empowerment and leader empowerment. Structural empowerment has a positive effect on innovative behavior mediating by psychological empowerment and leader empowerment. / Inovasi dan kreativitas adalah faktor yang penting untuk dilakukan dalam kegiatan sekolah dalam meningkatkan efektivitas sekolah. Pada prakteknya perilaku inovatif seringkali hanya ditunjukkan sebagian guru dalam melakukan tugas utamanya yakni kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memberikan wawasan lebih lanjut dengan mengukur pengaruh structural empowerment, leader empowerment, dan psychological empowerment terhadap innovative behavior. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dari SMK 10 Nopember yang berlokasi di Jakarta Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah structural equation modeling (SEM) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa structural empowerment, leader empowerment, dan psychological empowerment berpengaruh positif terhadap innovative behavior. Structural empowerment berpengaruh positif terhadap psychological empowerment dan leader empowerment. Structural empowerment berpengaruh positif terhadap innovative behavior dengan dimediasi oleh psychological empowerment dan leader empowerment.
