Abstract
The number of Generation X (Gen X) that uses mobile payment is less than the millennial generation in many countries around the world. With that being said, the goal of this research is to identify the factors that affect the intention to use mobile payment on Gen X in Jakarta and Tangerang. Using the extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this research applies a quantitative approach and the data is collected through questionnaires with a sample size of 280 participants. SmartPLS 3.28 is used in this research to analyze T-statistic and R-Square. The results show that self-efficacy and personal innovativeness have positive influence towards perceived ease of use, while personal innovativeness and subjective norm have positive influence towards perceived usefulness. Finally, perceived ease of use, self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, and trust have positive influence towards m-payment adoption intention.
