Abstract

Taman kanak – kanak merupakan suatu pembelajaran untuk anak usia dini dimana aktivitas utama dalam proses pembelajarannya melalui bermain. Bermain menjadi proses pembelajaran dimana anak dilatih untuk mengembangkan imajinasi, kreativitas, dan perkembangan fisik melalui bermain. Masalah yang terjadi merupakan pembelajaran dari sekolah taman kanak – kanak hanya dilakukan dalam skala ruang. Hal ini menimbulkan pertanyaan, dan dugaan bahwa kualitas belajar anak usia dini dapat lebih ditingkatkan melalui skala bangunan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan mengumpulkan teori – teori berupa studi literatur, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil dari pengumpulan studi literatur untuk mendapatkan prinsip dan kerangka perancangan taman kanak – kanak berdasarkan Teori Montessori untuk skala bangunan. Observasi dilakukan berdasarkan apa yang sudah didapat melalui studi literatur. Wawancara yang dilakukan terhadap pendamping anak – anak usia dini menjadi sebuah subjek penelitian bermain dengan pembelajaran panca indra. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk menemukan perancangan Taman Kanak - Kanak berdasarkan teori Montessori melalui skala bangunan dengan pendekatan sensori. Hal tersebut merangsang panca indra anak untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran anak. Melalui indra anak akan merasakan adanya atmosphere dan feelings baru sehingga hal tersebut menjadi memori baru dalam jangka panjang untuk anak. Anak mempunyai kesan dan memori baru setiap harinya dimasa pertumbuhan sedang berjalan dan berkembang. Penelitian tersebut menghasilkan sebuah desain perancangan Taman Kanak – Kanak dengan berbagai elemen arsitektur yang dapat merangsang indra anak. Perancangan ini terbentuk tidak hanya dalam segi konteks dalam bangunan akan tetapi juga melalui segi konteks luar bangunan. / Kindergarten is an early childhood learning for which the main activity of the learning process is through playing. Learning process through playing where children are taught to stimulate imagination, creativity, and physical development through play. However, the issue occurs when the learning process of the children were conducted within the scale of space. . This raises the question and allegation of improving the quality of learning an early age though the scale of building This research was conducted using the qualitative methods, by collecting theories in form of literature study, thorough observation, and conducting interviews. The results of the aforementioned study is to comprehend the principles and framework design of kindergarten based on Montessori’ kindergarten to scale buildings theory. The observations were made based on what has been obtained through the study of literature. Interviews process were conducted on early childhoods has become the research subject towards the learning sensory through playing. This study attempts to figure the design for kindergarten based Montessori theory through the scale of the building with Sensory approach. It stimulates children's senses to improve the learning quality. Through sensory, children will sense the atmosphere and new feelings that could jot new memory in the long term. Children will then have the better impression and a new memory every day during their ongoing growth and development. The survey result give a new design plan for Kindergarten with approcing element architecture that can stimulate sense of child. The design plan not only build by interior context, but I also planning in outdoor context.
