Abstract

// Human rights have developed into a crucial agenda in the study of international relations. The tragedy of human rights violations that often occur in the world has made countries begin to pay attention to human rights. Likewise, Indonesia as a member of the international community is still in the spotlight of the international community related to the handling of human rights which have always encountered obstacles, so the international community questions Indonesia's commitment and adherence to international norms. As a form of recognition of international norms relating to human rights, Indonesia always strives to maintain the country's identity and sovereignty through its policies and achievements in the international community. Thus, the attitude of Indonesian pluralism towards international regimes related to the Rome Statute is an interesting discussion to analyse. Besides, among all international regimes related to human rights, only the Rome Statute was not ratified by Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach with a single case study method. The data collected was obtained from various sources through relevant literature studies. Data processing and analysis techniques use descriptive and explanatory techniques that are carried out carefully and thoroughly. There are three main results in this study. First, there are various problems faced by Indonesia in the process of resolving human rights. Second, The Government Policy as an effort to form the country's image and identity. Third, Indonesian pluralism towards international norms related to the Rome Statute.
